Yes, dear friends, this current situation we PS3 owners now face is rather unfortunate. However, there is a bit of comfort to be had.

As fate would have it, I found myself at dinner last evening with a family friend. This gentleman is a very well-established lawyer who represents clients affiliated with the entertainment industry. The course of our conversation began with movies and music, and it eventually found the topic of video games. It was at this moment that I mentioned this debacle with Bethesda. Needless to say, he raised an eyebrow, pat me reassuringly on the hand, and informed me that both he and his colleagues are--and have been-- "very interested" in this matter. He would not elaborate, but did remark that what is occurring was drawing the vigilant attention of litigators in the field. Can anyone say lawsuit?

Just an FYI to reassure you all that we are not alone in this; people who make their living seeking justice for those who have been denied it are keenly aware and watching this whole fiasco very carefully.

So uh, has it gone back to the idea of any PS3 thread is pushed back into this thread and "merged" but then forgotten?

I'm just curious because for a little while there were like, well at least 1 other open thread lol.

Valid question, maybe a poll is in order?

I hope something is done soon this situation looks like its going to be a long time before any thing is done.

haha but that's what just got closed down!

I dont' remember what the one that stayed open was. Not at all. I just waited 5 days or so and saw it still wasn't closed and was pleasently suprised.

Now this is probably off topic, but honestly so many things regarding PS3 has been shifted into this thread. Technically, what is on topic now?

I'm honestly unsure... Because they have all been shifted here. Is it against forum rules to talk about any of the threads that were "merged" into this thread? What is off topic now? What is on topic? I'm really lost lol

Well honestly that one is just because dawnguard is yet to be out on PS3, so it would be false advertising as this page is specifically for dawnguard. Go to the skyrim thread and you should see the PS3 logo again.

I'm not defending the company or anything, it's just, that's why that's lacking. Now the one thing I don't understand is, the windows logo or whatever they use for PC keeps appearing at the bottom and disappearing at random times. For a while it was there, then gone, then back again, and now that I'm looking it's gone again lol.

I haven't seen the Pc logo ever on the bottom. Lol
I understand its on a forum topic but it's not on the bottom next to the Xbox which mostly means that they dont care about Ps3/Sony

Well my take is that pretty much as long as we keep it clean, don't directly bash each other, and don't troll or flame-bait others, we can talk about most anything as long as it can be tied remotely back to the issue of DLC making it to the PS3. And i think the 'remotely' bit has to be pretty open-ended since most anything related to DLC + PS3 is getting funneled into this thread.

This just goes to show that Bethesda is unprofessional Compared to other Company's they would rather Release broken games, Lie about DLC, Work on said " DLC ", Get ready for release, Cancel PS3 release because its not Acceptable, Going on 1 month since they last had any news about it , Sent out patch 1.8 with mounted combat and a few other crap to cover up, Have been Working on the DLC for 5 months haven't found any solution to the problem .

The mods are just beating us into a corner to keep us quiet. This is the thread to contain us, so the Bethesda employees that do occasionally visit the forums know to skip it. You can't really believe that anyone at Bethesda visits this thread. They only care about the people that pay them money, and the only people paying money right now are the 360 users, and the PC users that don't pirate.

They don't care how many PS3 users will buy possible DLC, so we can't have polls. They don't care about our questions, or else they would be answered. They only care about convincing people to buy their broken products, and then ignoring them untill they release the next broken product. Bethesda doesn't have a product to trick us into buying yet, so they ignore us.

Alright this is pretty much how I've been viewing it lately. Don't curse and keep it civil, and anything with the word PS3 somewhere implied can be talked about lol

In a sense I kind of agree with this too, but probably the only thing that makes me feel like I don't agree is how blunt the comment is lol

So I may just be kind of put off by the structure of the statements, but really agree 99-100% xD

I think this is the symbol most likely in use at the moment, it seems to change

True, but can't they just sacrifice some of the graphics like they did with the patches?
How much more graphic quality needs to be sacrificed? The PS3 version is already at 720p compared to the 1080p that the 360 version gets.

Although this is completely ridiculous, people need to stop saying Beth has cheated them out of DLC. They never made a promise to give the DLC to PS3, so they haven't screwed you out of anything.

But don't get me wrong, this is the height of incompetence and I think there should at least be a 50% discount if the DLC actually comes to this platform. Not because they are obliged to; expecting a discount for something you were never promised is dumb. But out of the goodness of their hearts.

Bethesda has screwed-over their PS3 base with almost every game they've released. There is no "goodness" in their hearts.

Maybe if every single member at Bethesda scraqed up one bit of kindness and put it all together, they could give PS3 a discount. xD

They've also never given discounts on DLC. It's all full price still. They NEED to support the PS3 as equally as the 360. The PC users can get bugs fixed better and faster than Bethesda. The PS3 has always been the last to get DLC, and had patches delayed by Bethesda. Bethesda teased bigger and better DLC before the game was released, and PROMISED us that the PS3 would have equal support instead of being put on the back burner. PS3 users have obviously recieved far less than the equal support that was promised.

And that is the argument Bethesda will use if anyone or group sues them over all of this. But legal magic aside, let's be honest; DLC for the PS3 was more than implied and it is just disingenuous and asinine to say otherwise.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZqXKZOS2jQ

At the end of the trailer, before the blatant xbox 360 ad, it clearly says "Game Add-On". It doesn't say "Game Add-On...for Xbox 360 and PC only!" Skyrim is a multiplatform release and after all the build up and promises of parity between all platforms, Bethesda is going to be hard pressed to defend the bolded sentiment imo.
