Questions for the Ponies

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 7:51 pm

Let's face it, we're never gonna understand y'all, but you can't blame a guy for trying, right? :D

For the millionth time...What's the deal with the shoes?

Do you prefer guys with a certain hair color? Or hair style?

Chest/facial hair -- Good or bad?

Metrosixuals -- Yes or no?

Others can ask stuff too, this is just off the top of my head.

the answers to those questions would be just as varied as the answers to what men find attractive

That's usually not too varied though.

That's all right, we'll never fully understand y'all, either. ;)

For the millionth time...What's the deal with the shoes?
No help for you there. I hate clothes shopping. I have two pairs of shoes & a few pairs of slippers. I sometimes run errands in my slippers.

The rest are just personal preferences things, not really related to being a woman per se. But...
Do you prefer guys with a certain hair color? Or hair style?
Hair color - don't care.
Hair style - very short to just above the shoulder, tidy, natural, not overly styled in cut or applied products.

Chest/facial hair -- Good or bad?
I personally prefer no to very minimal chest hair. Know plenty of gals who love a lot of it, tho.

Metrosixuals -- Yes or no?
I had to look that up. :P
I'm old fashioned, so I'd have to say no. I consider fashion/style/beauty products & lots of money spent on such to be a waste of money...so a guy who's really into self-pampering or fashion wouldn't fit my lifestyle at all. We'd end up arguing about money all the time and get a divorce. Haha.

Shoes are pretty. Guys don't seem to question their appeal when a woman wears a pair of knee high boots...or a pair of heels that makes their legs look good. It's not rocket science lol.

Dark hair for me. Light beard as a preference but you can't have it all eh?

Chest hair definitely. Wouldn't want my man to look like a little boy...

Metrosixual...? Hmm nah not really. If he spends more time preening than me he's not my type.

Any more?

Please do tell me this. I've never understood it. Function before fashion, all I care about is good gas mileage and nothing else.

I can understand liking cars that go VROOOOOMMMMMMM.....it's pretty awesome to drive one. Go up a windy mt. road, up and down shifting, pushing the limits around corners. But that doesn't mean I'm going to spend the money on one and have it sit in my garage 95% of the time. If I was a billionaire, sure, I might buy a few (and a plane too!) but....yeah. Definitely not practical.

The deal with cars is differing from man to man. I like cars that look sleek and go fast. Yes, I am animalistic, I do not car. I don't get the whole "OMG I HAVE AN ENGINE WITH SIX DIFFERENT NUMBERS AND LETTERS TO YOUR OMG [censored]". Again, each to their own. I could ask you what's the deal with weddings? Seriously, I have no idea.

Men appreciate technology and elegance of design. Cars are awesome because they take a timeless problem (timely transportation) and solve it with an impressive application of mechanical engineering.

Also, they make cool noises and you can make them spin around with enough practice.

If I understand women correctly, we treat cars like you do hair. We make sure to get the best color, choose a unique hairstyle (car), keep it clean and conditioned, maybe add a few highlights (accessories). Not to mention that we keep our comparing cars to other guys' cars.

I don't know that one either. None of them make any sense.

Wait... why'd you use "you"? Do you think Rhekarid and I are female?

Decentralized transportation... timely transportation... does not compute! For timely and efficient transportation, the motorcycle/motorized scooter far outperforms a car or truck. Centralized high-speed rails outperform all vehicles for point-to-point long-distance transit.

My husband, when he had more time, like to work on cars. He wasn't into the sports/speed thing much per se, but he liked engines, taking them apart, fixing them, etc. That was when they were more mechanical tho. He doesn't like to work on the newer engines much.

Expensive/fancy weddings...I don't get that one either.

Oh, sorry. I inferred that from the two posts because you were saying that you didn't understand why guys liked cars, leading to the conclusion that you aren't one because you didn't say "other guys", but men in general. My mistake.

Well you obviously can't be male if you don't understand cars.

I think I have more shoes than anyone else in my family, and I'm male. Decent boots are worth their weight in gold.

I like nice cars though. Old ones though, not those shiny modern crap.
