It would seem that the game has a ton of technical issues, and the PC has horrible UI/menu issues.


To people who have the game: is it really that bad, or are you enjoying it?

I'm seeing comments that its worst than Borderlands UI on PC. .. that could be hearsay though.

The only UI issues I found (the rest of the UI is fine for me) is that when you rebind keys it will affect things associated with those keys that aren't bindable.

Such as: When you rebind F for a different shortcut (such as making it sneak) in turn it will also unbind the ability to create a favorite in your inventory.

Other than that it's fine...just takes getting used to. It does have a bit of consoleitus though.

If all of this crap about the game is true, this is a serious disappointment.

Every game will have some issues on release, it'll likely be patched in like 2 days, no reason to get all butt hurt.

I'm sure the trolls are making it seem much worse than it is. Overall the game is great and I got to play it for about 5 hours this morning on my PC. The UI takes a little getting used to but overall it's an epic game. Don't listen to trolls.

Guys the reviews are all positive 10/10 or 9.5s for the most part. I think this isnt such a big issue

lol , no need to slip into a depression. I'm sure i will moan about the UI but if the games as great as everyones saying i can live with it till its modded/patched.

The people who have complaints about the game come here and write about it. The vast majority (hopefully ) sit cut off from the rest of the world playing. It's probably not as bad as it seems, although it probably isn't perfect either.

Yeah it took me a few minutes to figure out what was wrong myself. You just dont want to rebind keys that have "alternate" uses...such as F and R (Favorites and Drop item)

I bet they'll patch that pretty fast and just make all the alts bindable too. Quite a few of us use ESDF for movement instead of WASD.

At the moment I'm taking all of this as a load of man cow excrement! None of the reviews I've read so far have reported any bugs and most have given it 10/10 so its all looking good.

Mate, don't worry. I've been following livestreams all day that showcase the game pretty thoroughly, and while stuff like menus isn't top-notch, it's nowhere near game-breaking.

Just chill and start looking forward to the game

I have a small number of criticisms, but they are minor. Overall this game is epic and thoroughly deserves all of its positive reviews.

I never had a single complaint about the UI on Borderlands. Never had a problem or gave it a single thought.

OMG NOSTALGIA! I havn not used ESDF since quake 2! I didnt know there are still others. XD

would be quite amusing watching the troll slaggers having to bite thier lip and say nothing about the games faults..

If it was that bad:

1. A lot of the media reviews would have mentioned something about it

2. There would be a lot of threads. So far there has been 2 and a lot of "wow is it as bad as this troll says!" threads, like this one.

Play it for yourself before you take anyones judgment, they might hate it, you might think it's the best game ever made! Just try it for yourself first.

Skyrim is one of the highest rated games of all time, tied in 2nd place for the highest rated on 360. So no, it's not bad...

Is this just a PC thing cause i'm on PS3 and i think its brilliant. Problies just people over-reacting?

Well it's true to be honest
There are a lot of problems regarding the UI and mouse + keyboard setup.
For starters you can't navigate the menu with the mouse.
Secondly the settings keep resetting to default values when you scroll down them using the keys.(why would i want 360 gamepad option on?)
Mouse Acceleration is enabled and has to be disable through an ini file.
Vertical Sync can't be disabled from the menu and has to be done within an ini
FOV is too low standard (like 60) and has to be set through an ini.
Mouse sensitivity is horrible. Looking from left to right I can do it in one motion, looking up or down takes 6 times as long.

So people are a bit overreacting, but a lot of these complaints are true unfortunatly
