Riften Massacre - Master Vampire Attacks... (imgs)

Oh, I do love Dawnguard. I still havent even done a playthrough on the Vampire side (even though its basically the same thing).

I just dont see how people are "for" the attacks. What would the problem be if they were removed from cities, or at least NPCs would run away instead of fight?

Or even Remove them (only from cities) after you finish the MQ?

I'm not for them, I just dont have any issue with them, and dont see why it needs fixing. Even after reading what others say, it seems as though they're playing blindfolded to not notice vampires killing all their npc's.

Because it gives us the sense that there's actually some kind of urgency to the Vampire attacks. If the guards were talking about all of the Vampire attacks, but there were no attacks on the cities, then it would be very ho-hum from the stand-point of myself and many other people.

This is just one reason (and my own opinion) why I like the attacks on the cities. The DLC would have a boring repetitive feel without that added sense of urgency. I do find myself looking forward to entering a city and getting twitchy trigger fingers wondering; "is this time going to bring the attacks? Or will it be a normal visit?". I love that sense of suspense!

I do love having something to slaughter on my way home to make sweet sweet pationate love to my werewolf queen, Aela, lol. Seriously though, it does give me the feel of a true vamp hunter always looking around to c if I'm gonna get ambushed. Its fun, not hard.

Then you'll giggle like a Catholic School Girl... lmao
Well being a dude trying to giggle like a school girl is out of the question but laughing like a chaotic overlord yes I will! Honestly I am hoping dawnguard comes out either early august or late july *crosses fingers*.

These vampire attacks will now make city life exciting.

I don't mind the attacks. And I usually lost just one npc and can reload. I'm all for them staying.

But, I am experiencing them spawning at a odd rate for me. So, I do hope for a fix in the rate they happen in some games.

But, Dawnguard is great and I haven't stopped playing because of them.

Well their souls is going to a better place that way they don't have to worry about death! Only eternal torment is the only thing they have to think about when they die. If the town's people can't defend themselves then svcks to be them at least bal will get his share of souls during this crisis.

Ontopic:Anyway empty towns don't bother me at all.

I actually do like this feature. I just wish the merchants would act smarter. If they want to attack the vampires at least get a better weapon than a crappy iron dagger.

On my dual wielding orc character I will be handing out weapons via reverse pick pocketing to npc's I say you can also protect the town by giving them means to protect themselves.

Shoot. I forgot all about reverse pick-pocketing. You can give them armor as well right? But will they wear it?

It depends on the NPC. Ulfberth War-bear wears armor if you give it to him... I think. DOn't take this as engraved in stone, I could be wrong. But I do know that they definitely use any weapon that you give them.

And my two characters are like this as well (Dragons and Vampire attacks...). My Dunmer gets attacks on a fairly frequent basis, my Khajiit get them on every trip to a city. It doesn't stop them from handling business (the Guards regularly have it handled before I can get there. All I've ever lost are Guards and two beggars), but the randomizer may require a little a little tweaking (which I suspect will come with the next patch).

But it's good to know that it's finally giving you a look at what the frequency is supposed to be like. Might give you a different outlook on the attacks.
I don't really mind fighting them, their not that hard to beat, I just don't want to do it all the time, all game long, on every character....that's been my major gripe

Its not all the time. Sometimes when I fast travel a bunch, I'm sitting there saying "havent had a vamp attack in a while" then BAM! It happens. Just the right amount to me.

My first dg character was constant attacks, at least every other time I entered Towns, my second character has has them much less frequently
