One of the reasons for a bit I'm not getting the DLC. I hate hate hate when this happens and nothing one can do about it. Complete BS when people get wiped out.

It's actually quite a nice feature I think- it adds realism to the game and keeps you on edge whilst you are in the cities instead of just wandering around eating bread and cheese and drinking fine wine. Skyrim is supposed to be a region plunged into chaos where no place in the province feels safe- adding this vampire attack feature (along with dragon attacks in cities) helps to add to that chaotic atmosphere. But, I admit, it would be better if the blacksmiths and other merchants were replaced by more merchants in order to fill the gap.

realism =/= vampires

You are right about the keeping on edge part, however, the fact is is that Skyrim already has few enough citizens and to wipe out 5+ a city makes things feel a bit empty...

I've had attacks, but never in cities. Also, it's not the end of the world if people die. I think it's kind of cool.

You know what I mean about the realism comment! Hehe.

Anyway, yes, I suppose it can lead to a Ghost Town effect- leading me to suggest that respawning/replacing NPCs after a certain amount of time would be better; plus limiting vampire attacks to 1 per month on each city might be a fair idea.

Yeah, I'd be fine with that.

They will be mourned as it had occurred...

Temp fix -(possible solution to this - Saved them from the attack, if not then revert back to auto-save from the Transition. Wait 2 24hr Periods and then go and transition to the area.If Fast Traveled go to a Fort/Dungeon then wait the time and fast travel (make sure its daylight.) Worked for me - no Guarantee's

IMO - its cool cause it does bring more to the game about ("Chaotic Atmosphere"(Fierce Mudcrabs) But maybe Beth should of added a Feature of a new Random NPC re-opens the Shop again(lets say: Min 2wks Max 30days ingame for the New NPC to appear) they could even go as far as the Yarl asks you by Currier to see him/her - Talks about the attacks and has sent for a new shop owner & you need to go get them and bring them safely back(No Fast Travel) (radiant)... just a few cents there... :)

Yeah, the lack of scaly brethren in Skyrim made me sad. Nothing like a good Shadowscale to tip the balance in a brawl.

Have an idea, the people having trouble with the vampire attacks, did they happen to chose THR vamp side?

I'm dawnguard, finished the MQ done quite alot of the side quests, and the only time I had any trouble with vampire attacks was far outside riften when going to the cave to dawnguard when I first downloaded it.

I theorise that if you side with the vampires these attacks become more dangerous and frequent, which I think is completely fair and beth shouldn't do a dam thing about it, these are the consequences, anyway, there evil blood svcking vampires, why should you care if your fellow vamps are getting something to eat? If you wanted to be all lovey and careing, should have sided with the dawnguard.
