Shellbugs are... adorable.

Please, someone, tell me I'm not the only person who felt like a total monster for cracking that cute creature open like a pistachio nut...

I don't know why but I felt awful, I was totally shocked when it happened and the only thing that soothed my conscious was the neat helmet I forged from the beast's ill gotten shell... On a slightly less depressing note, how many of these gentle giants are there? If there's only one, I'll sob for days into this finely crafted helmet.

I feel like I just cracked open a crunchy manatee.

I think that was the last one in existence..like the frost giants in the forgotten vale are the last of their kind supposedly.

Wasn't the frost giant in Morrowind's blood moon the "last of the species" then you see these...so wouldn't they be the last of their kind..or maybe I'm wrong because everyone thought the original non-abomination snow elves were extinct too.

I may be confusing myself on the type of creature, not sure though.

Karstaag was a worthy hunter, but he fell to my claws.
:)

OT: i wonder who came up with the shellbug and helmet, they seem kind of completely random additions

They do don't they?

I love them though and the Shellbug helm totally matches the heavy Falmer set so it's like a neat alternate piece of armor.

I sort of wish it wasn't the last of its kind too..I wanted to see what a full armor set from it would look like.

Think of it like how the Snow Elf puts it, "Its quite possible I'm the last of my kind. It's also quite possible there are still scattered pockets out there."

When I first installed the add-on, I found the helm and wanted to see the rest of the set too...

Not only killed, you need to "mine" them to get the chitin... So you whack it with a pickaxe.

More like beat it to death with a pickaxe and tear the shell from its body.
