Anyone else play Skyrim to escape RL because it svcks. I do

...

It made me put off a lot of people and things I cared about... It wasn't necessarily the game, but it definitely didn't help with my... disconnectedness.

Sources please. Last I've learned in school, apple and especially Apricot seeds contain cyanogenic glycosides, which are hazardous to your health.

There's an apricot seed extract that is being used to treat Hep-C... Just as an fyi.

You are absolutely right, there are toxins, however insignificant they may be.

Oh snap, that's deep.

No it ain't, it's half baked and sophomoric.

What if Skyrim does mean something? What if Skyrim means that the Dragons are gonna return in 2012, Year of the Dragon? What if the End of the World prediction in 2012 is true? And all of this are connected? What if I'm saying all of this in a sarcasmic way? What if I am not?

You need a drink, friend. :foodndrink:

Seriously, the world will be destroyed by the cancer afflicting it: us. It could end tomorrow at the touch of a button, or in a few generations given the path we are on. But as Homer Simpson would observe philosophically, "Yeah, but what are ya gonna do?" :violin:

Play Skyrim.

Oh, and thanks for reminding me about taxes, Kicenna! :yuck: I've got a year's worth of property taxes due and then income taxes to sort out. :brokencomputer: Oh, well, an hour away from Skyrim won't be too bad. I hope.

Yep. I'm weird. Prolly the only American that refuses to drink, smoke, and do all those nasty things that can kill you.

Nope, with me here there are at least two.

Real life is escapism.
escape from your online life? if so then you need to "escape" more often ;)

all videogames are a form of escapism to me but i don't really "escape" but rather just take my mind off of my troubles for awhile...books and other forms of thought occupying things have the same effect

I was thinking about this the other day (while playing Skyrim). Why do I love this game so much? I came up with a few reasons.

Skyrim lets me shoot fireballs out of my hands
I can't shoot fireballs in real life

Those are a couple. But I think to an extent I'm the same way. That's not to say that at the end of a [censored] day, Skyrim doesn't pick me up. Cuz it does
I think that's just what this game does for people.

Since we're talking about beer, beer & Skyrim together give PB&J a run for their money
