Yeah I'm honestly puzzled by the level of negative posts about new games these days. I honestly don't know what some of you expect from a game on the PC platform these days but it's not top dog any more. Games are made for consoles first and that's how it will be in the future. I think id have done a great job with Doom 3 BFG. I'm not a fan of the way games have changed over the years but that's how it is. Quite frankly it's not THAT bad.

I agree with this, consoles are where its at these days. I'm not bitter about it, I understand why that is but that doesn't mean you crap all over your PC customers because most of the time it was PC players that made these companies what they are. Some people have said that we are snobby and feel entitled, its not like that. This is basic business that you need to make a product that your customers want and you need to respect them as well. If you don't do this, your business is finished.

Its not consoles that are making the industry look bad, its the developers. In the 90s, if you didn't make good games, the games would not sell and you would be ruined. These days, developers are owned by big corporations that know nothing about gaming at all. They have bottomless pockets so the incentive to do a good job is taken out of the equation. The problem is that the bad stuff they make still sells! And If crap sells then they will continue making crap.

It's funny how you lot always trot out that line, isn;t it? Wanna watch yourselves, you're showing a pattern.
Uhh... what? I don't remember saying this to you before.

By the way, your Steam reply really pissed me off for all the wrong reasons.

My problem is not with the game itself but the lack of any support via email or phone on the bugs I have encountered, especially the ones that you have to completely re-start the game to try to avoid.
The one reply I did get I was talked down to and it was implied that I was using the support email system to find walkthroughs and hints, I clearly stated the bug I had found, how auto save made it so my only option was to completely restart the campaign and try different ways to avoid it and I had asked if they were addressing the issue or would they in the near future only to get the condescending reply back bout not using the support system in the way the idiot had wrongly interpreted my email about.
I got the game on the first day of release and encountered the bug(s) in 2 separate campaigns two days after, the only valuable advice I got was from someone on the forums that said "don't hit the button before you turn the power on".
I really hope the company addresses the many bugs that are in game and being reported soon.

On a side note I'm betting they will have at least one fix made and only because it will increase sales, with the installation not running Doom and Doom 2 I bet they fix that before it gets put on the Psn and Xbl marketplaces, hopefully they will still fix the other bugs as well even if it means more time and money from them to address the issues but from what I have seen in the past and heard from other gamers I cant really hold my breath, without incentive they may just leave it the way it is.
