Doesn't mean that it starts right now. It just means it's going to happen.

he sais "its a go for preload".

if its a "go" that means they can call steam and let them activate it.

It's a go for preload, just isn't available yet. Pinged folks tonight to find out when it gets turned on.

hope to have an answer on that very soon

It makes perfect sense to me from reading these quotes that everything is prepared to go forward, but they are waiting on the go ahead. I don't think it's as easy as just calling Steam, a lot of factors go into this.

Uhmm, noob question here, bear with me please

I have pre-ordered the physical copy for PC. Which means i haven't activated it on Steam. Now i asume this is not possible... But can i preload Skyrim even though i haven't bought it from Steam or activated it? So i can just activate it the minute i get the physical copy?

Thanks

Your title gives the impression that there won't be a pre-load. There is still 2 and a half days till release, people need to just chill out. I have to wait till the afternoon to play it.

ikr. sadface :(

I'm gonna set aside a good 6 hours and then just sit down and play. That's the best way to do it, instead of rushing.

You can pre-load it if you have the CD-KEY on the physical copy. If you don't have that you will have to wait to install from the physical disc.

No. Basically you just install the game off the disk and then activate it through steam with the key included(likely in/on the box).

You could preload it, assuming you have the physical copy with you right now.

if you end up recieving the physical pc copy before steam releases it on the 11th then i assume what happens is you can download it but not activate it until steam releases it. so yes, if you get it a little early you can preload it.

if you meant preload it on steam before you recieve your copy then no, not possible.

Man if they actually enable the preload on the tenth while I'm at work I might have to call my roommate that will be home and walk him through starting the download on my computer. XD

They don't want to have a massive overload, so preparation will pretty much be up to the last second.. Can't blame them for that, really. That being said, I want this game NOW! :)

Here we have a PR Director who's not a very good communicator in the first place and, to make matters worse, chooses Twitter as his primary method of communicating with his company's customers. Twitter is an excellent site for people who don't have much to say and who say it poorly. And you guys wonder why there's freaking confusion on this? LOL.

EDIT: On the other hand, if you want the latest college basketball updates, Pete's Twitter account is a great place to go.

It's not that simple. MW3 just came out as well, so they're more than likely preserving server integrity and traffic .. and pre-loads usually happen within 2 or 3 days of release so we still have lots of time.

Relax.

most of the games i preloaded were a week or so in a advance, like Fable 3.

lulz. Because you clearly have access to his internal email accounts and monitor his phone calls all day? Right.

Just be thankful Pete is actually so in touch with the fan base on Twitter. Twitter is not only an effective way to get very small informational tidbits out to a lot of people on a large scale, but it's also his PERSONAL account. He also likes basketball, and he shares his personal interests on there as well. What's the harm in that?

That's Petes PERSONAL twitter account, not his answer every question about work account.

Why do people keep making misleading titles.

2 days until release, it is still too early.

The pre-load will probably be very slow anyways and may take 3 days to download. I'm guessing thousands of people will be pre-loading it.
