Steam Preload Start Time

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 1:57 am

Why do people keep making misleading titles.

2 days until release, it is still too early.

there is nothing misleading on the title.

it states the fact that there is still no steam preload today even tho pete allready twittered yesterday that he had "pinged" people about it.

I do many steam purchases and sometimes preload allready start way earlier.

I hate Steam so much right now.

First, all that crap about the japanese release date, now this "pre-load" that will just piss people off because when they finally let us download it, it will be probably too late to play the game on launch time.

And while I know this is also Bethesda fault, for choosing that POS for their autentication, I blame Steam the most.

I don't have the best internet connection in the world, and would like this downloaded before the midnight launch (which is more and more unlikely the longer this takes to start up). Anyone's preload started yet?

They haven't released pre-load yet. Various sources state it will be soon. Probably the 9th.

It is the 9th for me.

Maybe preload is starting the same time around the world. Maybe Aussies/New Zealanders aren't as lucky as we thought. Well... those of us with bad internet at least.

As noted earlier, the likely problem is COD:MW3 being released today on Steam, a game with a HUGE following that is probably crushing their content servers. I highly doubt they'll start letting Skyrim (another massively popular game) preload until that calms down or it would just be 2k per second downloads for everyone.

Sir, your wisdom and insight knows no bounds. This makes complete sense!
