seriously?

You have to pay for it.

I payed for it of course. Just when i right click on the game in the steam client, all it says is - View store page, view forums... etc. Sorry guys, I never bought a steam game before, so I am a bit confused about how this [censored] works. But, I preordered Skyrim 2 days ago.

Those of you who has no pre-load icon on your Steam library should restart your Steam client. That should work.

How would steam know if you had the game if you haven't entered your CD key yet...?

You need the cd key. When you get it

At the top of your Steam, go to Games > Activate a product on Steam, then input the code.

I wish this was possible with a retail pre-order. Like downloading the encrypted files and activating them with the key I get with the box. Would be great, as I don't even have a working DVD drive

The pre-load is open at the same time world wide. It's the unlock time that will happen by time zones.

How do I view my CD Key? Will the option appear once the pre load is available?

no cd key for steam versions since it serves no purpose
only retail copies and those sold outside of steam have keys to be activated on steam
