You may have to shut down steam and relaunch it. Mine didnt show preload availability until after i had done so.

Just click on Skyrim in your Steam Library. Then it will tell you preload available, click the button.

AAAAAAAAAAAANnd enjoy.

Lets hope that you can at least install the retail version similar to a pre-load. Generally online pre-orders get to the recipient a day early in the mail, like Rage did. With Rage you couldn't install it at all because it hadn't been released yet. Aggh! I hate having to use Steam, I can understand publishers and developers wanting some sort of DRM but in my experience the only people DRM like Steam affects are legitimate license holders, and only in a negative way.

It probably won't even be available until the 12th either, just like Rage, even though it says 11/11/11.

Does the PC version auto-detect and let you use a 360 controller straight away?

not all will, some, like mine, didn't show it because we had steam up for a while, i had to fully exit out of steam and then boot it back up before preload would show up when i clicked on Skyrim

Perhaps gamesas will take mercy on everyone and allow an earlier unlock, especially if the cat's out of the bag in a lot of places in Europe?

It should. But why the hell would you want to use a controller?

I actually played this game on the 360 at a friend's house and I couldn't stand using that stupid gamepad.

If a game has got crosshairs, it's meant to be played using a mouse.

God wrote that. Its the 11th commandment:

"Thou shalt never NOT use a mouse and keyboard in a first person game."

True story

I believe your skyrim should auto-detect that you are a newb and self-destruct.. Using a 360 controller on a PC is sacrilege you need to make love to your mouse and keyboard, a good multi button'd mouse (I use a Naga 12 button grid) and wasd is far superior to any controller especially a 360 controller..

Joking aside I am sure it will auto detect if it doesn't it will be in the options for sure its already been confirmed that this will work for you but you shouldn't do it :P

Yes, at 9pm PST, which is 12am EST. Everyone gets unlocked at the same time.

If Skyrim's HUD is like Fallout 3's and your like me you have to play with one if you want to enjoy the game. :hubbahubba:

I live in Brazil. It's 11:41pm here. Should be 8:41pm EST. My Steam countdown clock has Skyrim unlocking November 10, at 10pm.

Don't know if that's incorrect. I just hope it isn't.
