Strange Meat : what is it? : Fallout: New Vegas

Some people don't believe that Strange Meat is really human flesh, even though it was definitely seen to be in FO3 (re Andale)

I'm curious about how many people deny it - guilty feelings??

Being seen to be human flesh in one case doesn't mean all instances are human flesh. Otherwise there wouldn't be a seperate item called http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Human_flesh_(Fallout:_New_Vegas) with seperate stats from http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Strange_meat_(Fallout:_New_Vegas) Despite what the wiki claims.

I remember someone on these forums said something about the GECK showing that a lot of the ovens in New Vegas are actually the ovens from andale with strange meet in them. Maybe it was a mistake, maybe there's some hidden message there, and maybe Obsidian enjoys confusing us. After learning that I just pretended that any strange meet I found in locations that felt very out of place. Still, I'd say it's always human flesh, simply because if it's not it's usually called something else like big horner meat or bloat fly meat.

I'm sure it's human, but even if it's not (which I'm sure it is!)...

I'm still not eating it... bloatfly meat gets a name so isn't considered "strange", and I'd much rather chow down a Manburger than a bloatfly slider!

Basically it's MORE disgusting if it's not man-meat! after all the rad-scorpion can you imagine what wastelanders consider strange?

I think one of us needs to update wiki, after FONV strange meat is NOT always human flesh anymore. If it was, the Mojave would be the most terrifying corner of the wasteland. Seriously, strange meat is found EVERYWHERE!!! Even in houses of good karma ppl!!!

so by your logic, iguana bits might not always be iguana because there is also iguana on a stick? strange meat is just lower quality, but its still human.

Well, I added a "Mistake" choice, but while I think they did make mistakes by placing Strange Meat in seemingly random locations, like NCR, etc, that doesn't change what Strange Meat actually is, especially when placed deliberately in a few locations (no spoilers allowed)

I have a feeling it is human flesh, though I wouldn't be surprised if the developers made a mistake and proceeded to dump it in the ovens of folks you wouldn't think are cannibals.
