That was way too small to be a semi truck.

+10 to the survival skill with the magazine that's an awful lot? Is there any text to read in the mag or to you just "activate" it?

Whoa and sunset caps? So how many currencies are we at? Four? Five? Overkill?

skill books are temporary, and yes I too am worried about the currencies, hopefully you will be able to convert them.

We will. It's been confirmed that we can at casinos. Whether that will take a fee or not remains to be seen.

it looks exactly like the ones in fallout 3, maybe the depth perception is a little off.

I would assume that it works exactly like Speech in Fallout 3, but showing you exactly what your ideal speech skill should be if you want to have no problems with passing it. By the way, the super mutants confirmed so far are either smart (Neil and Marcus) or crazy (Tabitha). I wouldn't be surprised if there are several friendly and at least slightly intelligent super mutants scattered about the area, as well as in Jacobstown.

Dousnt Tabitha call some dumber super mutants "dum-dums"?
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Tabitha Although those dumb super mutants might only be in that area =/

In that one pic using speech with the super mutant, the numbers are 38/50. Can anyone elaborate on that?

The effect of White Horsenettle, you're losing -1 End and -1 Agl, and gain +1 HP (5s) Can someone expand on that as well? doesn't seem like a good benefit for losing 1 on 2 specials.

And Fixer, the Temporary Addiction Removal.... so if it's only temporary, you're addiction will return after a certain amount of time? How long? Anyone have an answer? Thanks!

Some darned good questions. The numbers refer to challenges EDIT: nevermind. I misunderstood the question and what WorstUsernameEver said was right. Question #2, those are not stats you should go by. My character had a low survival skill, so depending on how much you boost that skill, the results could change radically. And Fixer, I assume, will make the addiction return after it wears off.

On a side note, a guy from Planet Fallout asked if he can post an edited version of my findings on the site.

Yep, thats how I would imagine she became head honcho. I doubt mutants like neil would take crap from Tabitha on the mountain if they weren't a minority in that part of the woods.

Harry may be dead from my shotgun fire to the eyes but his failed dipping stupidity lives on in some of his brethern, god bless him.

Nice job on getting all those pics posted!!

In one of them, there are two guy shaking hands, but they seem to tower over a tractor trailer in the same shot. Are the guys actually big statues, or is the truck just very tiny?

Can you craft things at a campfire without the survival skill or do you need it?

It was a large statue. I was mesmerized by the statue so I gravitated towards it. It was a red herring. :(

You know what scares me? The fact that J.E. Sawyer is always reading this thread when I post. Is my account going get deleted? Is my name going to suddenly going to change to "Miss Gnome"? Am I going to get an impromptu interview? :violin:

Most recipes at the campfire require some level of Survival. The lowest (I think) is Healing Powder, which almost anyone can make.

Cool... I stared at the pic for a while thinking, "something's not right here" when I realized the scale differences I figured they were statues, but you never know... Did you ever get an answer about the guy on top of the pole?

Magazines aren't permanent anyway. Skill books are.

I'm not happy about the magazines being temporary.

Sounds cool. I'm going to get my skill to 100 and craft a rocket! But seriously, you and the other people at Obsidian should be proud at the quality game that is about to be released. Perfect 10 from IGN for sure. :tops:

A red herring is a term used when referring to things in mystery literature. A "red herring" means "an empty clue". I was drawn to the statue because I thought something was there but it was just a statue.

Is the semi that small or is it just the picture?

Intact Garden Gnome > You're the Hero of the day !!

The giant statue is a monument representing an attempt at peace by two of the game's factions (NCR and another one)

But i can't remember if it was Mr Sawyer or Mr Avellone who talked about it in an interview...

(sorry, first post :whistling: )

SAY WHAAAAAT???
They look totally different. the details and everything is amasing now. no fence but you must be blind thinking that they look the same

FoNV's Neil.

Fo3's Uncle Leo.

They have indeed been improved a bit compared to FO3, but compared to the remodeling they did for http://images4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100810150805/fallout/images/a/a3/New_Vegas_Marcus.jpg they screwed up big time.

Powder?

How does the player consume it? Just add water?

Sprinkle liberally on the open wound, snort for head wounds, or smoke for internal injuries.

It's an aid item. You take it like a stimpack or any other aid item.
