You can put up to three mods on a weapon. So what's the problem?
There's conflicting information in the bowels of
Hell the forum about 3 mods per weapon versus each weapon has a maximum of three possible mods. I've seen both listed and have tried searching through past threads to find the information but have no luck.
We know we can only have three mods on some weapons (we've only seen two for the 9mm pistol, which is a scope and an extended magazine), but it's still unclear if three is also the maximum amount of mods a weapon may exist with as well. For instance the cowboy repeater has been shown to have an extended feeder, a maplewood stock, and a brass plate in one of the pieces of concept art. Are these the only choices for the repeater, or just a few examples of what we can put on the repeater? Same goes for hunting rifle, shown with a scope, custom action bolt, and extended magazine in another piece of concept art.
Give me about two minutes and I'll edit this post to provide the pieces of concept art I am talking about.
http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Hunting_Rifle_(Fallout:_New_Vegas) - Left most one is the original, unmodded rifle. Second is the scoped version. Third is the custom action bolt (noticeable by the striations in the visible portion of the barrel next to the bolt), and the right most one is the version with the extended magazine. So the question begs if these are:
- the only available mods for these guns
- only available for these guns, but not the only choices
- or just a few examples of the possible mods for this weapon.
