The Civil War from an Argonians point of view

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 5:23 pm

Well, I'll go ahead and do the Imperial Legion and see how it goes.. I'll talk to the Argonians in Windhelm soon and see how the rest of them feel. I've only ever done the Legion once but I ended up not doing the ending and reloaded an earlier save.. so I'll do the ending this time. This will be the first time I've ever done the Imperial Legion to the end.

@Kalamari
Not sure if you saw my earlier quote in regards to your post, but as a favor to you.. I'll replace that Dumner and put someone else on my hit list should I choose to power up a particular Daedric artifact.

^ Another reason they had it coming.. at least one Argonian does say though, that he wishes the Nords, Dumners and Argonians in Windhelm all got along better. I wish we could actually see that happen too :sad:

I saw it, and I was touched. Thank you for doing so! :touched:

And perhaps I could help you choose? I know a few people who I would love to see run through. :devil:

Should be able to use the console to make anyone unessential.. I already brawled him in my current playthrough.

I'm stuck on the PS3 though.

Ah well.. I'll kill him for you then :smile:

Might make sense anyway, to get both of the stone-fist brothers.. pity I can't use console commands for everything.

I've had my Argonians join the legion but really I don't think a foreign Argonian would have anything to do with the war.

Yes Argonians do not belong in this war really. And off topic I really feel like they should have added more Argonians, but I love Darkeethus as a follower he makes my Nord smile.

I think we're assuming that the argonian was either living in skyrim or is a citizen of the empire, from cyrodiil or another province. If he's just a foreigner then yeah he probably wouldnt be on either side, but likely wouldn't be comfortable with some of the stormcloaks.

I wouldn't think a Argonian would take a side in this war. The Argonians(Blackmarsh) abandoned the empire a long time ago and I don't know why they would join the Stormcloaks since it doesn't seem like their fight.

If I recall the Argonians at the docks in Windhelm say that Ulfric treats them terribly and that Ulfric supports the Nords who choose to pay them a single septim per hour of work and what not and are happy when the Empire takes over because they have a quote "Cosmopolitan" view on the world while Stormcloaks are very hateful to any race that is in Skyrim that isn't of course Nord.

Argonians in my opinion would go for the Empire due to how their treated by the Stormcloaks same for Dunmer and Khajit.

As I recall they don't mention meeting Ulfric at all and only complain about harsh treatment from the Shatter-shields, who they openly admit to stealing from.

Argonians aren't "Forced outside of Windhelm." Windhelm is the oldest human city in the known world. Its walls are ancient and untouched. There's no room to build new homes.
