Well...this was an...interesting read.

@patrickstevens, you'll find this community (and thread) to be filled with helpful and kind people that are willing to lend out a hand. And the way they responded to the recent discussion has confirmed that once again. Hats off to you gentlemen! This is not a competition on any level. We come here to share our adventures, our trials and tribulations. This thread, and the people here, have really made me feel welcome, and I feel very good coming here and discussing with them!
I am looking forward to your adventures with a fresh, new character. If you feel like sharing.

Well...I had a LOT of work last night on a paper, so today, when I had some free time to play...I fell asleep  And I woke up an hour ago...so it's like 2 am here. Wonderful!
Kinda pointless to sleep now anyway, since I have to get up at 8, so I'm gonna do some adventuring. Yeah, I'm fresh, I'm good...I'm ready

****
@ Se?or Cinco. Wow, those long dragon battles would be a killer for my character. Literally. With the needs mods I'm playing, going with no sleep and no food would spell death. But what an amazing fight that must have been! At the end you truly feel like you fought an ancient legendary creature!

Ha! That's too funny.

I thought about implementing the needs mods. I still may. If I get tired and start suffering from sleep dep, in a Dragon fight that lats 2 days, then too bad. I need to get stronger or run about three cells over and catch a nap.

The Deathloard fight wasn't too bad. I was running with just Booty Sweat. When I get Twin Souls, I will be able to do better. He was a level 20 enemy to my lowly level 1 char. Still, a 2 1/2 hr Dragon battle is a long ass time. I need more guys and stronger ones at that.

In the mean time I think..I...will...start a game...and....j...ust........ :snoring:

As usual, I managed to get myself lost in the beautiful world of Skyrim. I still find new things.
After a quick trip to Ivarstead, Malik and Marcurio decided to explore the fall forest. Doing some hunting (we only go after the animals that go after us - I never killed a deer/bunny/fox etc. in all my play time. Even the wolves/bears I leave alone if they don't want to munch me - may sound silly to some, I don't care  ), enjoying the view.
I'm thinking about raising to Master because Marcurio kinda steals all my glory. I mean...the way he throws those poor wolves around...sometimes I don't even have the time to get to them. But he sure comes in handy when dealing with mages and he bring up the electricity!

The only small problem I had was with that http://i.imgur.com/k3GXN.jpg, you know, the one that
Spoiler
wishes for a good death.
I don't know what was up with that guy...he was hitting really hard this time!
I even wanted to give him a nice burial, but Marcurio delivered the killing blow and he threw him all across the map, damn it Marcurio!
We're headed for Markarth now...I have a feeling the journey will take some time as I can't resist the urge to explore along the way.

*Lavanoth the Tenth*
Died falling in a pit of spikes at Level 10.
He was an archer who was too curious about the equipment of a female bandit he shot in the head and fell backwards into the spiked pit.

Welcome! Yes, those Falmer are a tough bunch, especially if they have their Chaurus friends with them!

You can tell us when you start you character. The usual info is Name, Race, play-style. You can add a story for him/her if you like that, and you like writing about it.
You don't have to post after every play session if you don't want to. Maybe share what you find to be most important, like a really tough battle or a major turning point in your adventure, or if you want some advice.
The idea is to enjoy yourself.

Good luck!

oh right then xD
Name: Light Yagami
Race: Breton -cos not alot of people seem to play them
Playstyle: I'm not gonna fast travel, unless i get trapped on a rock xD, carts are aloud, im going to listen to people and not skip dialogue. Light is going to kill anyone that insults him i.e guards, Start off on adept if i survive to level 35 im going to expert level 60- master, doubt ill survive past 13 xD. im going to use a variety of skills and weapons as i see fit and not charge head on into dangerous situtions.
Story: Light was comatose for several months and when he came to he had no idea who he was wondering away he ran into a group of people, who turned out to be stormcloak scouts. just as light walked past imperials came out of the bushes and ambushed the stormcloaks. And the rest is history xD (feels stupid writing a 2 minute story for a character xD)

Just a note. You can just edit your previous post if you are still the last one. That way it doesn't look like you are double posting.

Yes, that is rather fast...too fast for my taste, really. Even knowing what to do, after playing with 16 different characters and for over 1200 hrs, I still try to play each one like it was my first time. (suffering from short term memory loss has it's advantages) ???

Just because I know where all the goodies are what to do, doesn't mean my character does.

And I still can't understand why anyone want's or needs to suffer through the process of getting to this magical 81. It serves no purpose other than personal gratification. I just went through a discussion on this subject in other threads, and just recently in this one, for a brief moment.

81 in 40 hrs, just confirms my beliefs. You can't be doing much more than just training. But it's not for me to judge. As long as you are enjoying yourself...I guess, that's what matters. It's yours to you, as mine to me.

I think we can accommodate.

Although the rules state you must start a new character, to be eligible for the CCSM, I think we can all agree this would be an exception.

And that my friend, is part of the inspiration and boost of will to survive.

We gladly accept and recognize your memorial. Maybe, if and when you decide to forego a character, you can start them here, tell their story and end them here. There are lots of readers that will be glad to hear about it. Plus, you will get a "Deathclaw Alpha Male" family tomb. How cool would that be?

Haven't been to the forums since a month after release, but I've recently started playing again DID style.

Current DID character is:
Margery
imperial female
Legionare

When she was 8 years old her hippy mother and father took her and her younger brother out of solitude to 'live off the land".
4 months later her whole family was eaten alive in a cave bear attack.
She narrowly escaped and wandered the wilderness for a week before being rescued by a legion patrol.
It was then she vowed to become a legionare and help people as she was helped.

Previously DID characters that I wasn't around to introduce.
Gro-Obryen, level 19, opened a trap door and fell to his death.
Sansa, level 19, one shotted by the boss Chaurus under the light house.
Malak, level 42, pwned by a mage boss on the azura's star quest.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to you, and glad you returned AND with a DID character. BTW she sounds great. That is an interesting start. I love the "hippy" parenting. May she seek revenge on those bears...that is if she is the vengeful type.

Looking forward to hearing about her trials.

I updated the OP to include EVERY fallen Skyrim hero, villain, outcast, priest, drunk and lady of the evening. It just wasn't right for some of these classic endings to be left behind in the other threads. Sadly the new system decided to stop "centering" the listings. I tried for 2 hrs to make it work, to no avail. I'm truly sorry for those this bug has effected. I have done all I can do.

Creating a DiD play through right now.
It's an honor, to have you with us, TLB. I wish you the best with your Bosmer archer, Ulfur.

----------------------------------------------------------------

I am just all over the place with these characters. I haven't continued anymore with Seize, since the intense Dragon encounter. I am putting her on hold for now. I was inspired to pick up an older build, from my time with the Xbox. Now that I have mods, I can truly play this guy the way I had envisioned him, to start with.

Due to the thread recently started by Drake Malice. I have not been able to think of anything else. I tried this character twice and stopped for one reason or another. Just sidetracked...Maybe even death? Hell, I can't remember.

So, here he is. This is Kyn. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/560940791062428726/C2E2F7AF2BC73622A31E4FDCC30283609A6465EC/ This is still on master, against my better judgment, and with the higher NPC and dungeon settings. However I will not be triggering the Dragons. This is a different story.

Kyn is / was a high ranking Dremora Lord. He was Markyn, and about to become Valkyn. Until he screwed the pooch....

Kyn was summoned by Sonoura, a sinister Sorceress (my first Skyrim character) that summoned him to obtain a Sigil stone, from the planes of Oblivion. Kyn refused, but Sonoura proved to be too powerful. He reluctantly fetched the stone.

And Lord Dagon...Mehrunes Dagon, was "less than pleased, at it's loss."

Punishment for relinquishing the stone, Kyn was cast into the mortal world of Nirn. He is to forego a pilgrimage to each of the Daedric Shrines and under take the tasks set before him. He is to retrieve all the Daedric artifacts in Skyrim and return them to Mehrunes Daegon. Lord dagon all but stripped him of his powers. He can Summon a Dremora Lord once a day, as a last resort for help. Being Dremora, he is 75% resistant to fire.

(I love this mod. There are several that do this, but this one is not OP'd. There is a console command that turns your character , but he is blue and has no horns)

This transformation into the mortal world changed him physically. Kyn is no longer the bluish/purple of his former self. Nor does he posses the shoulder length. dark black hair he once donned. Instead he as taken a somewhat aged appearance. He is a deep red color and his hair is long and white. His horns have grown and even sprouted others.

He feels pain. He is no longer immortal.

Kyn comes to and finds himself in a strange new world. It is a somewhat barren spot and almost desert like. Throw in some flowing lava and turn the shy red he would be right at home. No, this was a lot different. He must go... Anywhere, but here.

You know, about this, I take things slooowly. I just really like it that way. To my shame, I never reached level 81 with any of my characters. I still have my first Skyrim char. - kept her for sentimental value - and she is level 54. Of course, I didn't do most of the guilds for RP reasons.
I just like to really savor Skyrim.

Definitely want to add my characters to this list. Just need to go home and see if I have the saves still.

You can always start anew! Good luck!

Ohooo! Nice. Will Kyn terrorize the world of Skyrim, or will he find compassion and love in this new land...oh, the possibilities! Will tune in and see!

The only characters of mine that get close to 60 are my Assassins. That's because they use poisons and pickpocket. I like having a choice in a verity of ways to take out the next mark. So with 1H, Alchemy (for poisons) and Pickpocket ( for planting the poisons) I get a few extra skills to train. That is a few more than I usually go for in a build. I try to keep it around 5, that I can control. Then you have Speech and Lockpick that will level all of your characters.

I still grind out some skills just to get them where they are actually doing something, but over all speed is not on the menu.

Ohooo! Nice. Will Kyn terrorize the world of Skyrim, or will he find compassion and love in this new land...oh, the possibilities! Will tune in and see!
It is starting slow. I had to restart 3 times. I am running with the alternate start mod "Live Another Life". From Helgen, you get a full set of armor and a boat load of weapons, pots and gear to sell. Plus the stuff from Riverwood. So, you are set from the get go.

With this start, you are just left for dead. You start wit a pair of shoes and some miner's clothes. You are in the middle of nowhere with no weapon or armor. The first two attempts to go anywhere, resulted in Kyn barley getting away with a sliver of health from a couple of mages. One going North, another going West.

When I did find an iron dagger laying on the ground, it took 15 hits to kill a fox! Are you kidding me?!

I managed to get one try a good ways. He gathered a full set of steel armor and a steel Greatsword. He chopped wood for 2 days to get the gold to purchase that. Because looting a cave was out of the question. No weapon, no armor, no kill to get the loot in the first place.

All geared up he mat a thief. The thief had dual Iron Daggers. Kyn had an AR of 81. The thief done 85 damage with a DW power attack....ONE attack. Needless to say I have uninstalled the super NPC mods and backed off to Adept. Now his Greatsword kills a wolf in 2 shots, KILLS A FOX in one!

So well see how Kyn #4 pans out. I want a challenge, but if a FOX is posing a threat, then the setting is too high.

Oh, and thank you for keeping this thread so great and for adding our fallen brothers and sisters!
I was reading through some of the previously fallen, in the earlier threads, and just couldn't let them lie and collect dust. They should all remain on the current mantle.

After I gave up on getting the last few to center, I later went back and cleaned up a few that had way too much in the description of death. When I saved the edit, to my amazement...it all centered. Oh well.
