the Xbox 360 (alleged) HDD install bug

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 9:40 pm

Just read this. Is it accurate? Can anybody at Bethesda confirm this?, as with under 2 days to go I urgently want to know whether I should install or play from disc.

This latest interpretation (on the attached article) seems to suggest the patch on day 1 will address the install bug of lower res textures?

This will probably get deleted, but I too would like some clarification on the matter.

CCNA said in a previous thread that he has contacted Gstaff and some Devs to hopefully get some word on this.

All we can do now is wait really.

Clarification: Bethesda would have noticed this, because the texture decrease is more then sufficient enough to see and want to fix. Leave it in their capable hands :)

The only reason I'm not on bored with the whole "the patch will fix it boat" bc they have a patch for every system and if it was to fix the 360 version wouldn't it just be a patch for the 360?

PS3 does not have the bug. I got both versions. X360 still suffers after patch 2.0 which is live.

Well THE patch might not fix it (the one ready for download), but a patch to be released very soon sure will :) Bethesda knows off this and will most definitely fix it soon enough :) good thing its not a bug that limits the gameplay.

I agree. The 360 still has the bug after the patch. The difference is night and day between hdd and disc. The game was patched when first played I assume it was the famous patch.

Damn! Now two people have confirmed this. And the patch does nothing to fix the issue.

How could Bethesda have overlooked this?

But apparently the day one patch has already been released.

That doesn't stop them from making more patches. There will be more patches which is inevitable with a game of this magnitude and complexity.
They could release 3 patches the first day if they wanted or had to and they all would be day 1 patches.

Are you sure this is something that can be patched?

Dont' believe any of this there is no true proof of this so call bug, these people are just adding to the fears.

The devs do know about it and are probably working on it as we speak ;) And I read somewhere that some guy figured out what the problem was and that is was possible to patch. Give it a few days and its sure to be in order :)

I just saw footage after searching for it. It's definitely real.

Plus people who are confirmed to have it already are reporting it, as can be seen http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_360_games/t_z/elder_scrolls_v_skyrim/f/1733/p/129014/655281.aspx#655281. Scroll down at look at the recently played games list.

Don't be a delusional fan boy. This is not made up. It's very real.
