They aren't Volkihar vampires!

Movarth Piquine is IN skyrim, he is random because it never states his race in Immortal Blood. If a Volk wrote the book then he wouldnt describe ANY Vamp race besides the Volk, you might as well say that the book was written by a Dremora BUT guess what? there is NO evidence of that at all. We have the book IN the game that serves as the GUIDE to different Vamp strains. How can you seriously be this oblivious?
Yes Movarth was in Skyrim and he turned out to be real like in the book. He was a vampire hunter so something written by a vampire hunter could be deemed accurate if they were into studying them like the court wizard in Dragonsreach studying dragons for example.

Which would have been easy to fix by having the vampires of Harkon's court dismiss it as a fictional tale made by someone who had no idea what he was talking about.
I understand what you're saying but then you'd have complaints on how they tried to dismiss Volkihar lore by adding some quote which people who support anything Beth throws at them would instantly believe.

I wouldn't, but I can agree that other would. Personally I like the vampires in Dawnguard quite a bit.

But they didnt! Which means that until it IS stated by Beth themselves the Book is Correct and harkon is a LIE
Not really, it remains unconfirmed since there is nothing else to support that that is the nature of the Volkihar. Had Bethesda said right out that Harkon and his clan were Volkihar it would spell the doom for the Immortal Blood's legitimazy. The only problem with this is that other than the name of their castle there is no mention of the Volkihar at all, so it remains unconfirmed.

That would be fine IF they had made the VL's their own strain instead of trying bullsh!t us into believing that they are Volkihar

The information about Volk in the book is inaccurate, which is evidence the book is a lie. Now let me get this straight in your opinion a Volk would only write a book about his own kind, but a Cyrodillic would write a book about several kind including his own. Do you know how ridiclus that sounds. Movarth also respawns, sometimes as a different race. And again the Imperial Library classifies Immortal Blood as fiction, meaning the author may have made it up.

If vampires were real, would you actually believe a vampires word about the powers of vampires at face value.

Except Immortal Blood was presumably written by a vampire. Not by Movarth, of course if the book is a lie then maybe it was written by Movarth so he could be famous.

I like how you all are ignoring that skyrim isn't exactly lore-friendly to a lot of things in the first place.

You have no evidence of proof AGAINST the book being correct, your reasoning is just Beth F@nboyism and it is pathetic

Seeing as I edited my post and more post were made before I finished I think I repost it here.

If you admit it isnt Lore friendly then why are you arguing? That is our point that Beth Screwed the lore straight out of skyrim and lazily dragged over the Vamps from OB and called them Volk

No, theres no evidence he really did he could've just read about them then made up whatever he wanted to trick Movarth and if Movarth was a true vampire hunter he would've killed himself when he was turned.

You should be careful, bypassing the filters will get you banned and there still no evidence that this book is 100% true besides the fact that it was written by a vampire, a vampire that could've sent Movarth on a wild goose chase.

Because you are being this thing called wrong and taking a book in a TES game seriously.

The Lore to any video game universe, book universe, and tv show is mutable. Retcon's allow them to patch any issues due to changes brought on by new content. Star Wars, Halo, The Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, etc., they've all had very successful retcon's in the past. Don't get so butt hurt by the Lore changing, it's going to happen whether it's liked or not. Sometimes, things have to change.

The book contains inaccurate information about at least one strain of vampires. In accurate information is proof against th ebook being correct. The fact the author is an anonymous vampire(or claims to be) also makes the book suspect as an intelligent vamprie wouldn't write that stuff down for people to find. The Imperial Library a source many people on this forum take as word of god classified Immortal Blood as fiction ie possibly made up by the author.

Your reasoning is simply I want to [censored] about something and to hell with everything else.

No, no he didn't, theres no dialogue with Movarth in-game nor does he have a journal about the vampire, we still don't even know if the Movarth from immortal blood is the one in skyrim.

I can entirely understand why they didn't make the Volkihar as the book says they are.

It would cause a lot more glitches if they made it so you can phase through the ice and what not.

It would cause A LOT more whining from people about being a Vampire ruining the game's experience due to everyone wanting to kill you no matter if you fed or not (see most people who played Morrowind and ask if they played a Vampire and enjoyed it or not), Bethesda obviously forsaw that so they kept the previous system but improved upon it.

Also..they already broke the Lore even before Skyrim..in Daggerfall the vampires could blend in perfectly.

By the way, Movarth in-game unless confirmed by Bethesda IS NOT the same person as the Movarth in the book.

Well, then I want to ask something:
If the Volkihar vampires you encounter throughout Skyrim are like the ones in Harkon court, how is that not evidence that the only book that even mentions the clans powers is false? Unless they add something that confirms that the Volkihar really is supposed to be like it is described in Immortal Blood you cannot assume it is true. 1st hand witness trumphs 2nd hand witness.

That Movarth appears give it some legitimazy, but it is not a definit conclusion.

The Vamp wanted Movarth dead so he gave SOME mis-information but Movarth prevailed and returned with the truth. You dont know the mindset of THAT vamp, he might be solitary are not give a damn about the other vamps

He speaks in the BOOK, there is no reason for some random vamp to take his name. Why is this so hard to comprehend?

The priest could of took his experiences on the different vampires he took head on or he could of had some sort of journal/notes. I know I didn't mean to say he wrote it and if that book isn't true than the many books in Skyrim might as well be filled with lies.

As a morrowind player, this guy is right, being a vampire in morrowind was so horrible that people had to make a TON of mods to make it better and even so it still svcked.
