Why are people so focused on 'dialogue options' being the holy grail of role-playing? These are still limited to basically good, neutral, bad, sneaky, confrontational... which FO4 actually puts into the game as your playstyle. That seems to be a leap too far for many.
FO4 has a stronger narrative than I might like in a freeform RPG but at no point does it force you to do the main quest.
And let us not forget that all traditional RPGs had strong narratives that forced you along a set path, even previous Fallout games didn't give you carte blanche on character origin.
Don't want to run into the vault at the start, don't... it's not a long game but the option is there.
Feel like ditching Shaun and doing your own thing... go ahead, you still get xp for killing randoms and exploring.
In many ways FO4 gives you far more freedom and role-playing opportunities than the traditional old school RPGs but it hides them behind playing the game rather than reading dialogue

I'm sorry Total Biscuit is so far off the mark with this one it's not even funny.
Maybe he needs to upgrade his gaming rig, I'm on a less than stellar build (4 years old, sitting a little bit above minimum but not by much) and have encountered very few bugs and with 240ish hours of gameplay only had a couple of CTDs, that didn't even freeze my system, just launched straight back into the game. For a Bethesda launch I've been surprised at how stable it has been (one 18 hour session in that time without a single hitch). The launch of Skyrim was far from that smooth, texture loss (pink dragons), BSODs, Dragons that wouldn't land or would fly backwards.
