Total Biscuit on Fallout 4

Not really. The NCR barely control the Mojave. Convicing both groups they have a common enemy so they work together makes sense.

previews to Fallout NV the NCR and the BoS been at war with the NCR push and kill the BoS, and successfully removing the BoS from NCR territory. Not to mention that the NCR push and kill BoS on the Solar power plant. So really bc the "curier" come and say some nice words they join and fight together?????? really for the over all story make 0 sense to have those 2 faction working together.

Some would claim that by this standard they have always been making action games with rpg elements. Well it is evidently very important to people that this falls into the right genre for them.

Exactly. Choice, and consequence was what MADE fallout games what they were. Beth has morphed them into just another A/A game. Not what I expect from fallout, but, exactly what I expect from Beth. :D

Yes you can. You just don't do the quest.

Spoiler

The consequence of the choice not to go against a faction the Brotherhood want destroyed, and remember Maxon is a hardliner (it's his way or a bullet, but even then there's at least one situation where you can sway him to take a softer approach), is that they lose trust in you and won't assign you to any high profile missions.

Personally I like the fact that you reach a point where you can't get everyone to play nice. You have to make a choice... even if that choice is to walk away from the decision.

I disregarded Total Biscuit a long time ago. He's highly bias, and will judge a game super critically depending on what the options menu looks like.

I tend to disagree with him roughly 90% of the time.

Did you expect this from Beth?

Let's not forget about FO3. I've made many posts with facts, links to the wiki etc, facts that showed some of the changes from FO3 to FO4. And if choice, roleplaying, branching etc are ANY indication of a good rpg, FO4 was stripped by most of them. Should I post them again, or will I be again accused of posting them "too much"?

And even if that was not the case, should someone not complain for example, about EA microtransactions because it is just EA and that's what someone would expect from it?

Well i was just being silly about the biscuit thing... and i DO love gravy so ill take some on a damn cookie too :P

The thing is, T Biscuit is giving an opinion that just so happens to be the same as a lot of others. He just happens to have a huge following to say it to. I do not think that makes him edgy and cool, i think that makes him a fellow reviewer. No big deal.

To take out a bigger threat. It's not like they suddenly become friends just temporally allies.

well he is a critic, he is doing his job. Play the game, give feedback, get paid. Opinions are one thing but the reason I started watching TB's stuff years ago was because he bothers to separate the subjective and objective stuff which I respect

TotalBiscuit is the prime example of old "PC master race" gamer that dislikes anything that even slightly changes in anything, even small features or how the industry is. I disregarded him long ago for several reasons especially his bias of anything that isn't on PC. Sometimes he has good points but a lot of times he actually doesn't, people put to much stock into what he has to say.

Oh, certainly, when he has a point, it's a good point. But you really gotta wade through the grumbling about casuals on his lawn.

OK, I would like you to present a single video where he's seriously talking about "casuals".

Edit: condescendingly, of course

Agreed. Also agreed with the dude everything except the bugginess part. I have to compliment Bethesda on the relative lack of serious bugs at launch, at least in my experience on PC.

Not to mention that if a game has 30 fps, it is unplayable. Well no, but yes i can see the difference between 30 and 60. He does have alot of good points on some things though, but as any other human being he is flawed.

I honestly do not care much for game reviewers at all. I can actually RP just fine in this game, it is only a matter of putting yourself into the character's position. I actually had a harder time RPing in NV after beating the MQ than here right now. Not saying it is a 'traditional' rpg, but that people take 'mechanical' rpg and make it 'the' definition of rpg, when it is nothing more than the act of playing a game within the role of the character.

The game ends when you beat the MQ in NV

I know. The point is that with NV, the mechanics did not make it an RPG. I felt that no matter what kind of character I did, the only thing that mattered to the game was them being courier 6, so the rest of them did not really matter.

lol.. like the "fire bad!" caveman... then runs off a cliff in the dark. These people that cling to the idea that every RPG must be made according to a set of standards or made a certain way crack me up. The only thing it tells me it they are very closed minded. It's certainly good that Bethesda completely ignores them.

One time he gave a game a bad mark...PURELy...because of the options menu. And I was....why does that matter? Play the game. Screw the technical bits.

But "Courier 6" is a generic title based on a rumour/legend. Being Courier 6 doesnt stop you from being Ex-Enclave soldier, Brotherhood Paladin, Legion Frumentarii, NCR Ranger, Psycho Serial Killer, Raider Warlord, Druggy Wastelander, Smooth Talking Gambler, or Vault Dweller. But running around the Wasteland telling everyone with ears about Vault 111 and Shaun does actively push against you being any of those things
