You can actually install it, and not just download the installer and have it ready to go? There is a difference. I need to know.

Found it

Early Install
We will be unlocking the game's installer at 17:01 CEST on May 14. This will allow you to begin installing the game, troubleshoot any issues you run into, download and install the launch day 1.0.1 patch, and be ready to play as soon as the servers come online.

Hoping this applies to physical copies also. Cant see why it wouldnt.

Ah so it isn't installing yet, okay then. I was worried my file might have been broken or something.

Edit
I presume it will unlock at midnight?

Midnight PST (3am EST), as I recall. Different "midnights" on other continents, of course.

I envy you all...

I downloaded Diablo II just so I could feel a bit like I was part of the group. :sadvaultboy:

Mine is Dekadez#1300.

I'll be playing in the evenings, since exams take priority over everything. Let Diablo 3 be my reward.

Hey, does anyone know why my launcher is like http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg194/scaled.php?server=194&filename=78066434.png&res=landing? It was like this with the beta launcher too, although not at first. Could a custom theme for Windows be possibly causing this (such as CustoPack Tools)? I can still click the things, but it's very annoying to see it like this.

Also, here's me http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/2012/85771876.png. :D

This game is the epitome of every thing that is wrong with gaming now, every one knows about the game now so I wont go into details. I guess after the always on connection and real money auction house theres a game in there somewhere.

I compared screens from 1996 to the this game now and oddly it wasn’t a huge massive difference.

No. While I may totally not agree with the real money auction house, it's an amazing game. Plus, you don't have to use real money in the auction house - there is an option to pay in gold.

And if you actually compared the screenshots, there is a huge difference in graphics. http://desmond.imageshack.us/Himg693/scaled.php?server=693&filename=diablo5.jpg&res=landing - http://www.pcgames.de/screenshots/original/2011/07/Diablo2.jpg - http://cdn.digitaltrends.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/diablo3-2.jpg

Because graphics are everything?

And I'm not sure if you're serious or not. Because saying there isn't much of a difference between D3 screens and a game from 1996 is absurd.

Only one of those points is valid, the always online feature(which I hate myself),as for the real money auction house that is OPTIONAL thus irrelevant. No doubt some desperate people will use it,I will not be one of them

Still can't decide if I should get it, the time commitment required is terrifying.

Because graphics are everything?

And because stylized graphics are "cartoony" and therefore "all look the same"/"are cheap & look bad".

I'm on the fence myself, although leaning in favor, as there are some changes from Diablo 2 I'm not fond of. Most of the rest are good, though, and should have been done in that game from the beginning.

Pre-ordered today. Just finished downloading. Ready to install the instant it's available.

Add me to the list - Jerhicco#1639. I'll be playing a Monk my first time through, methinks.

You should get it. You can play it anytime you want, once a week, or twice... doesn't matter how much time you put into it as long as you'll have fun.

I really, really want to want to play this game.

I just don't. I haven't found a single justifiable reason that would suggest I could possibly enjoy it.

This saddens me. I'm terribly sad.

So I bought and am downloading Diablo III awhile, so I'm ready to go after work tomorrow.

Do you think my laptop will be up to par though? I can play most games on medium settings (WoW, SWTOR, Civ 5 are mostly what I've played lately.)

Intel i3 2.10 GHZ , 4GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics Family.

I know, cheap stuff. This laptop was only like $350 when I got it last October, but I'm mostly a console gamer, I just use this for WoW and some casual games.
