So - if someone wants to play on a computer that's not internet connected, they can't?

Am I misunderstanding you? If I'm not - my respect level for Blizzard just dropped to about 0. That's a [censored] move to pull.

Wow. Well - that pretty much settles whether I'll buy the game or not. That's a dirty, dirty move by Blizzard. I always thought of them as one of the good guys, but a move like that is absolutely uncalled for.

Again, just the beta levels (which isn't much, clvl wise)...fairly random, but easy to win with even white items. In the weapon category I tended to find lots of stuff that was close to or occasionally better than what I saw in the crafting - I found little in the way of armor. But the crafting was interesting enough to want to see what was available, so I kept tossing the cash towards it. I suspect it would be even more true at higher levels when the items might get more interesting vs. the low level stuff.

I was thinking more mid-game and up, as Normal tends to be fairly easy so itemization isn't a factor yet. That, and I can sell the crafts for more money to level my artisans with.
