You guys do know that when I say Rp I'm usually referring to RPG Type Gameplay and not actualy RPing, right? Unless I specifically say it, like in the Vault RP.
Of course you can still RP if you want.
This is the reason we have money and MMO and looking to get SkyrimRPG etc etc. so that players could compete against one another if they wanted to whether its PvP, friendly or whatever. I lay down some rules, basic premises and the players "make the game" so to speak.
A quick anology to what I'm trying to say would be like comparing some MMO's. Most MMO players DON'T RP on their server but some do. Now lets look at the 2 major ways people play on these 2 MMO games:
WoW = Numbers and Loot
GW = Skills Acquisition and PvP
Though they are playing an RPG, they aren't roleplaying. In the way I have setup the server it would be Wealth Acquisition and Building/Land Expansion with PvP. Of course, the players can still "make the game". Did it ever occur to any of you to think outside the box? The rules were left a little vague for a reason.
For instance, Bandits weren't allowed in cities on the last map and were subject to jail time or death. Most of the bandits shied away thinking it was "server illegal" to enter towns. This is not the case. Take a look at Skooma, he embraced the bandit. He knew exactly what I was talking about.
Or we can take a look at this map and how Terpy was dealing with "peace negotiations". He was demanding that BP hand over materials in order to keep the peace. Some may say this was trolling, and may not have been far from the mark knowing Terpy, but he was within his "RP" rights to do so. All BP had to do was stop giving him materials, kill him or both. Simple.
If anyone has questions, just ask.
