I'm taking a break from the server for the forseeable future. I'm simply not enjoying it at the moment. From the sounds of things nearly the entire population of Frostfall is gone too, so an absence of leadership shouldn't be a problem.

I too am going to take a break. Not fun for a number of reasons, but hopefully things will be better in the future. Gonna go play some custom maps on my own server, mostly ones the Yogscast has done. People can go ahead and harvest the few material in my house and the house itself in Bridgeport

Well, I've been informed that almost all except one or two Frostfall players have left the server, so I think we're going to need to straighten some things out.

Also, I have relatives over until the 3rd, so I'm not going to be on as much as usual. While I'm not around, Elrond and Legogod will run Bridgeport.

Don't flatter yourself Undone. Just because someone is leaving doesn't mean they are "overreacting". I personally have just been having more fun on my 2-man server and so I won't be on the Beth server anymore because its not quite as fun anymore IMO

And I only posted it to let people know why they can harvest what few materials are in my house so that they and the admins know it isn't griefing as those rules only just got cleared up.

For the record, all players are welcome back whenever they feel like it. For now, the rest of us will press on shaping the server, and hopefully by the time people return we'll have a better atmosphere in-game, and a set of rules that aren't so open to people breaking on a whim.

Anyway, I actually see where you're coming from in terms of paying for land plots etc. I don't think we've ever had an economy on our server that actually "worked". What I'd most like to see is something like The City, sans-pricing. For buying/selling, players might as well just barter with items, rather than trying to shoehorn in currency that's tied to some arbitrary item.

One city, priced plots but of mixed wood and stone and no real restrictions. A functional guard, people working together (kinda) on walls and palaces and such. The restrictions we had in Frostfall did not limit people's imaginations. It forced them to use their imaginations in a different way, it forced people out of their comfort zones and resulted in a really amazing aesthetic. This time people didn't have freedom to build cobble cubes and it worked well. To say there is no RP is nonsense as well, in Frostfall we all got into character suitable for the scoiety we were going for.
