I want to install the following mods: Tekkit (Technic pack with Bukkit compatability, most recent release of the Technic Pack) MCPatcher, HD texture patch, Better Grass and Better Snow, Dynamic Light Mod, and Mine Little Pony.
The main problem is I'm not sure if anymods are conflicting or anything, and the Dynamic Light mod And Mine Little Pony won't work, after installing DLM the screen is just black after I login, and I have to remove it for it to work, and mine little pony (mod loader version) just doesn't work, the pony skins are shown as if I don't have MLP installed.
Pardon my inability to solve my own problems.

Reading the myriad of mod threads, a lot of Technic users claim that mcpatcher-added mods don't work. I'd assume it has something to do with that neither one works right on an already patched jar.

Server back up. It's a little bastardly though. Firstly, you'll need to download https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi/download.aspx if you don't have it already. Then you'll need to join the group BSF Minecraft. Whitelist isn't working just now, so you'll need to PM/Steam myself, Bone or Skooma for the Hamachi group password. Once you're in the Hamachi group, join the server through the IP:Port 5.199.135.85:25584.

I can't confirm whether all our mods are working (clearly the whitelist isn't), but at least Skooma said he wasn't getting any lag. We'll see how all you foreigners do with your connection.

This is only a temp measure while we don't have a paid server. The server will go offline when I go to bed. I'll probably leave it up while I'm at work, but obviously I can't restart it if anything goes wrong until I get home. I'll keep it up as necessary until about the 14th, at which point I'm away for 2 weeks.

You could try Drak's server, but it's laggy whenever a rift forms, and I haven't been able to connect since he updated a few things yesterday.

It's a pain, but it works, and the server hasn't been this stable or non-laggy since we switched to Velox. I suspect if we can't get one of the servers we're after before I leave then we'll likely just switch to Bone locally hosting rather than me, so it could be like this for a while.

I'd tried to host my own server a couple of times, but I could never seem to get it to work. Any clue what I may be doing wrong?

If you're going through Hamachi, you need to allow it through your firewall. You also need to make sure you're connecting to the right port (25584 seems to be the default).

Mind sending me the server files? I could have a legitimate Minecraft server running with no Hamachi silliness in a few minutes that will be up 24/7. Plus it would have an easy to remember URL - psychfox.com (note: not a long-term solution, but it would at least be decent enough until we find a real server host)

Most likely a firewall issue. Try disabling your firewall completely. If that works, then try re-enabling your firewall and setting it to allow Hamachi to pass.
