I would be on but I'm playing a lot of Skyrim at the moment. I don't really enjoy the technic stuff, even though I don't use that stuff, its presence in the world just makes it have less of the Minecraft charm.

And all those sinkholes and strip mines just look hideous.



One day, I will finish building the Frostfall walls that Teehee abandoned. Has the vanilla server been updated to the newest updates or do I need to download an earlier version?

Erm... well.. Frostfall is kind of gone. Default is on a new map now I believe, or did we just change the spawn?

Anyways,I am building a little mansion of some sort about a minute north of the spawn on default. Might work on making the spawn not look butt ugly, if anyone wants to help

P.S: Is there any way to turn off that god-awful "Citizen Gained _ XP" message? It keeps clunking up my screen..

...The multiplayer is very similar to the single-player, just with more people. Right now neither enemies nor damage function, however an update fixing this will be arriving shortly.
I suspect the description could use some revision.

Unless anybody has any objections I'll be building a homestead on the Default server, next to the lake at Vidicus's place. I'll be using the same wood/stone style as the other houses.

I've had a mixed reaction to this new Tekkit so far. The new additions such as equivalent exchange are great, I'm really excited to see what we can do with it, I'm also enjoying using red alloy wires and seeing what I can make by sawing blocks into smaller pieces. On the other hand there are a few bugs which are getting irritating, firstly having the contents of a chest hop around when I use shift+right click is a pain, my laser sometimes fails to fire and I really miss smart move. I've heard it might not be compatible with this version of tekkit.
I'm looking forward to getting started on the beginnings of a city when a steady source of materials is sorted out. I'm going to try and make use of some different materials such as construction foam and perhaps solid metal blocks, gold plating is possible.

Now that I think about it we can just make a vague outline of a building and use panelling and paint to put the details on. I also want to try making pretty glowing patterns using redwire.

If you don't want the inventory problems, go into the .techniclauncher folder and find your tekkit install. go into the mods folder and move InvTweaks-1.38-1.1.zip somewhere else. If the launcher insists on redownloading it, then I'm not sure if anything can be done about it.

I'd recommend uninstalling all versions of Java and downloading the newest available version.

EDIT: Fixed it.
To fix that I just deleted the .techniclauncher folder and reinstalled that, worked perfectly afterwards :smile:
- Like Kaelin said the right click bug/glitch is annoying especially when trying to make multiple tools it just makes 1 at a time instead of giving me the lot. Smart move was alright in some places.

While it does stop us from drifting too far, it also hampers those who live even a medium distance away, because with myspawn only working once an hour, death means a rush over forest and desert with no tools and equipment, often dying repeatedly. If we spawned at our beds, we could at least requip ourselves before setting out to continue.

When you die after using myspawn just leave and rejoin - tada the timer is gone and myspawn works again. Rinse and repeat :)
Though that is something I want to be a permenant feature - spawning at our beds. Why does it keep vanishing from map to map, server to server ? It doesn't happen on the Tekkit server either and I always take damage when spawning at the spawn point.

I understand it was removed for roleplaying reasons and cohesiveness, but that hardly seems important at the moment.

The RP map that had Frostfall and the College had that feature on it, at least my most recent visit had it.
