Hopefully there were no casulties :cold:

Given that NPCs will have a trade value in future, I believe that griefing villagers should be considered a war crime, with the perpetrators either suspended or sent to Spandau prison.
They should be send to work in my mineshaft and tunnels with only redstone torches and no hometime!

I disagree. It should be first come first serve. I find those towns a valuable place to 'borrow' supplies from. >_>

Perhaps, but slaughtering the villagers themselves should be prohibited when they may be a valuable source of materials.

http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/150/2/6/how_to_slow_down_lag_in_minecraft_by_jusey1-d51mtg0.jpg - I found a way to take care of my lag-problems.

Now, I do have a few questions.

1: Is it possible to get farm animals to follow you so you can put them into a pen? If so, how?
2: What is an Ender Portal and where is the Nether Area, and how to get to those areas?

That is about it... I do have more questions but they are about the Skyrimcraft mod I have so I wont ask those unless someone here has de' mod and may know the answers.

Are you talking the Villagers in those random Villages? They die when I see those villages.. Those villages causes great lag and whenever something cause me great lag, I shall burn it down to the ground to quickly reduce the lag.

I don't think a village would be causing lag...

But if your framerate is so low that you have to burn down villages and forests to keep playing, maybe consider upgrading your PC?

I don't HAVE to burn the stuff down but it helps a lot.

1) To get animals to follow you, lure them by holding a piece of wheat. To get wheat, either farm it (craft a hoe, till some land near to water, and plant seeds found by punching long grass) or find it in dungeon or mine chests.

2) An Ender Portal leads to The End, which is a late-stage thing. You'll need to build a Nether Portal first anyway. To build one, look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IuqC46QKAkQ&feature=fvwrel

It does require a diamond pick to get that obsidian first. Oh, and I recommend bringing a couple cobble stacks on your first trip to the Nether, to establish a beachhead.

Yeah I'm not bothered about people taking the stuff from the chest there, as long as it's not my chest, they aren't killing the NPCs and don't burn/blow [censored] up in the village, they can go on their merry way afterwards.

I don't HAVE to burn the stuff down but it helps a lot.
I think your PC needs upgraded because villagers don't cause lag - if they do then God help you when night falls and all the critters come out to play, likewise whats the point in setting up a farm - you'll lag and burn stuff...

- Also fire causes lag
Lag and drop in Framerate are the same thing in this case :P

I went assploring, and found this location as a potential site for the city: http://tesfan.mchost.org/tekkitdynmap/?worldname=world&mapname=surface&zoom=4&x=-233.80397212479897&y=64&z=753.3170944116213.
This map has too much ocean.

Looks good to me, that is if nobody minds the trans-biome thing going on there. Otherwise, let's get going by cutting out the area, in order for the foundations to be laid.

I'm in the forest just north of that, where the river is with a little island - just to the right of that.
So whatever goes on there hopefully won't disturb me. Also stay out of my mines :P

Villages*.. The Town itself causes the lag, not the people within.

Oh, right but how can you build anything, surely that would cause just as much lag?
I know I get a drop in FPS when I enter heavily built up areas like the Spawn Towns the server has had and such

I can build stuff and all but I keep them away from each other. Like, my main house will right in the spawn area while I'll have buildings, and other random stuff, around the area. Towns normally have farms, buildings, etc all in one small area. That causes lag for me. When everything is in one small area instead of spread out.

i think you are misidentifying the cause of lag. compared to how many blocks are in a chunk, the number of blocks in a village will have nearly no impact on your fps.

i saw that optifine was recommend to you, i suggest you install that. other wise there is really no advice we can give you since your issue is a hardware issue.

Might be a good place for the city. http://tesfan.mchost.org/tekkitdynmap/?worldname=world&mapname=surface&zoom=4&x=-350.83014441117257&y=64&z=-1271.4831735160574.
Mostly flat land, coast on either side, nearby jungle, desert and basalt supplies. Also an NPC village to inhabit while we're clearing the land and laying foundations.

I'm good. I can still happily play the game and have fun, and all. Oh and I've been looking into my problem more lately.. The problem is either A: Too many blocks in view or special kinds of block. (Seeing a lot of water/lava in one area lags me up a bit, not much).. Or B: The game generating land is what causing the issue..

Anyways, I'm not worried about that right now... What I'm currently wondering if I could change the Mobs so I can have, idk, copies of that Ender Dragon spawning at night? Seriously, Skeletons and Zombies all the time gets annoying and very boring since all I need to do is whack them into the hole I made or into my lava trap... Only bad thing is the Creepers cause they like to 'troll' you and blow up stuff you were working so hard on!

Another question about Minecraft on the 360...

When I go to the "Play" option, under "Join Game" it says "No Games Found". How can that be? There must be people playing it, right?

Also, I'm pretty sure I have an HDTV (Vizio VL320M), set to 720, but I don't have the Split Screen option.

I'm so confused, any help will be appreciated!

I don't think there is a piece of land big enough to hold the city.
