haha, Daikanos wasn't even born then  3E381. but it's not a problem if he hasn't heard of it. He'll just tell Xerxes that he doesn't know what he's talking about

EDIT: Nevermind

Daikanos atleast tried not to make it look like the calm spell had no effect. But it was up to you to choose ifhe could have covered it or not.

Btw Gavril, that show of magic seemed a little bit on the OP side of things. Quickly casting two spells without anyone noticing is a bit of a no-no. Fiona, for instance, has only used her calm spell on one other person, once, and it was the bumbling Nellis, while pretending to check his temperature. Magic is powerful, but also VERY obvious in TES. Shining lights and all that.

I need a favour from someone to develop my character.

As in my character description, Jal sold his sword to help get him to Valton. I kinda want it back. Just need a one of your characters to have gotten a hold of it somehow, Jal recognizes it, asks to buy it back ... could make a minor story thing out of it. Anyone game?

I always invision the light shows is really just a game mechanic (for some reason) flames and sparks and summoning and stuff like that will indeed be very obvious but these two small spells would be hardly noticeable. the small tracking spell could just as well be a way to recognize and find someone by their magical fingerprint which he received when Xerces used a spell on him. . To cast you need to concentrate and then everything happens with the mind. you don't need to lift up your hand to cast a spell. (that's a game mechanic because it would be stupid in a game to shoot a fire ball by making it appear in front of you out of nothing. but then I can simply delete that part and have him find him the old way

I have to agree with Gavril on this one... it made since for his character, but it wasn't anything insane like teleporting behind someone in two seconds and going invisible then backstabing...

Jal, I've got a little bit of intrigue for you lined up, btw. I can edit it to involve the sword if you like. Someone who can help you find whoever has it (and it can still be a player in this RP).

That is if no-one else wants to take up the idea. My one can go side by side with it. I should have the post up tonight sometime, after I finish some work.

If any of you are wondering why i keep posting here but not Rping, I am not allowing myself to write any RP unless I've done the same amount of essay before hand :P

So, yeah, back to that Philosophy dergree..

I should follow the same rule for my essay for dutch. :) anyway I looked at the CS, Vincent. fiona is 41 and Daikanos has had maybe the double of years to practive his skills. (after being ratted as a searched man by the royal guard. in maybe 4E50 and until the great war started: 4E170 (not sure about the exact date.) almost all of this time he has lived with the altmer Lorundil who trained him in magic. (mostly destruction, alteration and conjuration. but the others schools as well, sort of.)

I can always delete the second spell if you want me to? but they didn't seem like very large spells.

oOOoh intrigue ... I like the sound that.

@Yes man: Sweet. Just need to think of a natural way that your character would have got old of Jal's old sword. Could be as easy as you buying it from the merchant that Jal sold it to.

The second spell is the one that caused offence. More than anything, it is roleplaying etiquette. If one character uses a spell on you, it is one thing to dismiss with easily before it hits, but another thing entirely to make the action of the dismissal itself unoticable. That is kind of tantamount to God Monging, sorry. If you are going to roleplay a character who is very skilled in magic, at least let other people notice he is very good at magic. The second skill is Illusion, which is something not so much in your character sheet. Even Fiona, who is the In-Game equivalent of a Master in Illusion, probably wouldn't go about masking her every use of magic, willy-nilly.

Sorry to lecture you, I feel like a swit now. =/

Perhaps he might know where it is? He'd be able to send Tsavani on a fetch-quest for it.

The town is still being populated by the first wave or so of skilled immigrants, so really there isn't that much to know.

It'd be great to have you on board. Just post your CS here and I'll give it a look. One bit of advise I'd give is its a good idea to have a job in the town in mind for your character. For instance, Gorbad RPs our blacksmith, we have a Captain of the Guard who will be selected soon, a Court Mage, an innkeeper, etc. We do have a shop keeper, but he has been away for a while. Town could always do with more merchants. Or anything really you can think of

We even have a Thalmor Justicar attached to Valton, causing trouble! So you're character doesn't even need to necessarily be useful
Since you're still taking on players, I might try and join this. Is this character okay?

EDIT: redoing the CS.

I'd rate your character overpowered. Paralysis, frenzy, fear... Conjurer of daedra.. super enchanter with a crazy dagger.. + all the other. :/
Not to talk about the other things..
