Vampires are evil

Post » Mon Nov 19, 2012 6:38 am

I walk into the castle and they are drinking from live people on their tables! And worse they are called human cattle! And they lik scream when u try to talk to them!
Wrong. Dawnguard are equally evil if not more. The vampires aren't evil. That's like saying we are evil because we kill every living creature to survive. The vampires want to survive, so they get the food to survive a.k.a human cattle. We call cows "cattle" are we not as evil as them? Plus Dawnguard are worse. They have a full scale torture room. They have fire pokers, spikes, disecting tools. They full on torture the vampires, the vampires only do what they need to, to survive.

As do the vampires but unlike you we don't keep our food alive while we eat it we kill the cattle quick and painless we don't draw out the suffering by draining them of their blood while they are strapped to a table screaming in pain

maybe they are partly following the Anne Rice concept, where vampires cannot drink dead blood, and therefore have to feed on humans while they are still alive.

And animals for slaughter, don't exactly have the most pleasent lives, but that's neither here, nor there.

Well why don't you just use blood potions? Take the pain out by just killing them then filling up a blood potion? But instead you keep them alive while feeding which I bet is not very pleasant? And cattle get room to graze to get bigger human cattle get chained up with near zero room to move

You seen how big those blood potions(jugs) our, they likely need to kill a human to fill one instead of keeping some cattles alive who can feed vampire for much longer. You want more men to die to feed those vampire don't you?

Humanity does have factory farms which do animals have zero room to move and a large amount of other ethical issues.

Don't know what goes into making the blood potions.

As Tassadar666 said, we humans do have farms with very limited spaces, and the transportation of live animal for slaughter can be quite cruel.

I agree in real life it can be cruel but in skyrim it's not

Farlington, I'd like to see where you get your info on the "Feeding on someone makes them go to Molag Bal" because I have never read that anywhere

Also they're not 'screaming in pain' their moaning maybe they enjoy it? No but in all seriousness, feeding probably doesn't hurt considering people don't wake up when you feed on them and most likely contains a painkiller that alleviates the pain the area, combined with the loss of blood it actually wouldn't hurt at all.

in Skyrim, vampires are the apex predators/ top of the food chain

In the real world humans are, so it's a valid comparison

I was comparing cattle treatment in real life to cattle treatment in skyrim which in skyrim they are treated pretty good with a good amount if room to grow

Not all vampires are evil, they are just doing what they can to survive. Like humans, we cage animals and butcher them for food, these vampires are doing the same. Sure, you can argue that killing people is wrong but they are not of the same race anymore. I am sure cows dislike being herded into slaughter for our consumption but we don't label it as evil. Well, vegetarians might.

Harkon is a bit of a [censored], granted. He wants to blot out the sun and dominate the human-race. Kinda goes beyond survival.

Vampires are evil because they do what they must too survive?

Interesting.

In my opinion the Dawnguard are evil, they want to kill an entire race just because they do what they must too survive.

And what about the majority of the Dawnguard, invading caves, burning and torturing vampires. If you kill 100 people and just one of them was innocent then you have comited an evil. It does not matter if they dont know, ignorance is not an excuse for murder, especially when fueled by prejudice

lol Vamps are people too

Corpses. Whats dead should stay dead, except Serana!

Vampire cannot drink the blood of the dead for what ive seen

Why not? Takes some time for blood to coagulate. And they could drink the blood of cattle or rodents. Most humans dont eat other sentient beings to live. Why do vamps have to? Because they can, and THAT makes them evil.

Its just Lore, deceased people's blood is poison to a Vampire same way the werewolf blood is..though in-game you can still feed on the companions last I checked..

I'm aware, but the lore for dead man's blood was always dead for a while, not dead after a couple minutes.
