I want a castle

Post » Wed Jun 13, 2012 12:13 am

They did it in morrowind, and oblivion. I want my very own castle to stock with all my loot. I don't care if it's a DLC mission to build it or a bunch of quests to get it. I'm not complaining about the lack or anything, but i see alot of "hoarders" and people who want more display racks. Am i the only one who would love a giant building with 20 mannequins and tons of weapons and shield racks?

Nope, no castles are ever gonna be available. Mark my words. There will be no new player owned houses or bases.

This would be great. I've always wanted one and Skyrim seems like a nice place to have a huge castle in the snowy mountains or something.

Sarcasm I am sure.

If not, wait for mod.

Oh, god. I hope they don't try to sell us mods I could make in 5 minutes again. Seriously, those homes were worse than Horse Armour. At least that had more effort...

That was the worst case of money-grabbing I'd ever seen. At least with Morrowind, it was free. That was fine.

Yeah that is why I personally get all the games I know will have mods for on PC and get others for my Xbox. You may not have that option though. If you do I would suggest taking a small hit and selling your Xbox Skyrim on craigslist (Game Stop is a ripoff anyone who disagrees is a liar) and buy it for the PC.

A castle with a... wait for it.... Forge!

That would be great, i am tired of how no available to buy houses have forges attached to them. i personally use the hell out of forges.

i have a great gaming PC, but (and this is just MY opinion) but i can't stand clicking a button to fight. i like pulling a trigger to shoot/ swing. i'll play RTS and the like on the computer. and yes i know i could hook up a controller and i probably should. also my computer is in my "man-cave" and my wife would kill me if i spent all my time in there LOL.

THIS. I thought that the Solitude manor would have a forge in the basemant, but no, it had a firepit and mannequins. I could do without an Alchemy table, as there's one at every potions store, and in every house, but I really want a completely decked out forge. Anvil, tanning rack, grindstone, workbench, even a smelter. Especially a smelter.

As for a castle, yes, I do want a castle, one on a mountain top, preferably. There are plenty of mountain tops available that are just sitting there, being all pointy and foreboding and useless. We could find one, knock the top off, and plant a castle there, right? That would be awesome!

Say what you will about the DLC′s for Oblivion, but I had a blast with Battlehorn Castle, the Vile Lair and Frostcrag Spire. (I had the Thieves Den, but never lived there for serious)

I hope they do something similar with Skyrim. Oh and Horse armor.

Honestly what i was thinking was the castle just west of whiterun. It seems centrally located, and it's just a bandits nest. well as far as i know anyway. but a mountain fortress would be very cool.

I know whatcha mean.

If you are willing to pay 10 bucks here is what I use. Works perfectly and lets you bind any key to any button. (I use it for my Racing Games and Assassins Creed)

I do not think you have to pay but it lets you be a part of the community which I just paid the 10 bucks to support the application/maker.

right on, thanks. i'll have to investigate. to be fair though i do like the idea of the DLC "bases" for mages, thieves, fighter etc. cuz then you only have to pay for what you want. i NEVER play mage characters, so i didn't buy the mages tower DLC. i just was my castle and the ability to display ALL my stuff in one place that looks cool.

Just make one with the creation kit when it comes out. Unless you're on a console, in which case...svcks to be you.

i would rather have a nice rogue-ish hideout in the moutains/swamps/fall forest personally, not something vile lair-esqu just soemthing for a thief to hide out in (which gives me an idea, an inn that you could own out in the fall forest, perfect for a rogue like myself)

Horse armor was deffinately a waste because it did not added stats or anything to your horse but the other dlc's like battethorn castle were fun. A castle in skyrim would be insane =D

I've always wanted a hall with Light Armours down one side, and Heavy Armours down the other. I'd have a room with enough bookshelves for every book in the game too, I like collecting them. I'd create a private library. A forge would be great too.

Damnit! Now I really want a castle. I wish I could afford a good PC, damn rent.
