I think it looks pretty cool. Have to see how far the gadgetry extends, or if it's more-or-less scripted into the missions, but having these kinds of toys for mayhem at your fingertips is what sandbox games are all about. The NPC reactions to the player seem pretty lively too - the random NPC getting freaked out by the death of his wife (?) in the car was pretty grim - although could easily be part of the demo playback, rather than a naturally emergent occurance. Same with finding the tuned-up racer meters from the accident: just a little too convenient for gameplay (though fair enough for a demo showing the game's potential.)

All in all, I want to see more.

I didn't see control airplane show up in the gameplay.

Nah for DLC I'd expect something more grand like the ISS or some random satellite.

It's impressive, but lets not forget every other mission in SR3 or GTA4 plays out in the same way. Plus that DRM. And it seems Ubisoft is trying to be coy about it now: the core gameplay is designed around always online DRM anyway. Whatever. I won't be buying it. I don't support that sh*t.

Rewatched the demo. Looks like everything is scripted so you have only 1 command on one device. Doesn't seem too opened to me.

Initially, I thought, Great! It's Deus Ex, in a contemporary setting, without cybertronicsm, and with gadgetry! But no ... from the looks of it, it's just a reskinned Prototype + GTA 4 with the ability to do stuff to electronics. Not interested.

I also find it ... amusing that Ubisoft is making a game that glorifies hacking, and cracking, and manipulating technology, when they've been so fervently against, and gone out of their way to vilify, any such thing with regards to their games. It strikes me as very hypocritical.

They've been a lot better about their DRM, lately. Just a one-time activation from their client, apparently, for their new games.

As long as Aiden doesn't pirate video games, anything goes.

Wait, Ubisoft requires you to be connected to the internet even for single player games?

If that's the case then as cool as this game may look, I will not buy.

Which is unfortunate. I really hate companies that do this.

I thought it looked so fantastic simply because it's new. There's been so many sequels and unoriginal ideas lately that a breath of fresh air in a new IP is what gaming needs. I don't think we should judge what the final game might be by the demo, it may be better, just as good, or worse, but the concept of what the game is aiming to be seems pretty great.

So I'm not sure if this is just hype, but it sounds http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LC_OaVtkHzU

Its hard not to get myself too excited for this game.

I doubt the game will be as good as they let on.
