Whyfor? It was a nice looking piece.

Not that I'd want it, as I'm more into things I don't mind shooting and getting dirty and maybe knocking some value off of, but still...

Not let me just get out my gold-plated wallet so I can pay this fine gentleman.

EDIT: Also I was right about that thing near the grip of the Thunder Pistol being a breech, I'm so proud of myself. :tops:

Hope there's a substitute for the Chinese Assault Rifle, which resembles AK 47 :gun: .
The only thing that svcks is the stock, it looks like a crutch  .
I think it's safe to say that revolvers have MUCH IMPROVED in F:NV, than in FO3 (Darn, i remember the useless '32 Pistol  it only worth is to be selled for pocket change  ).
Man, I LOVE THE SEQUOIA RANGER! :goodjob: :fallout:
Talk about power! It sure kicks like a mule, but one shot, ONE KILL! :hubbahubba: (Except for Deathclaws  )

Super Mutant=Super Salsa

While I'm 99.9999999999999982% sure there won't be one, can you imagine the cans of whoop-ass you could hand out with one?

Effectiveness is dependent on your goals. If you want'em dead "like, right freakin' now!" then a headshot with a massive caliber might be your best option. On the other hand, if you're in the "trying to send a message to a group" sort of thing I can see where an airgun with a dart like they use to anesthetize animals (only loading the dart with something lethal but slow acting) would be the option of choice.

As for the difficulty of making them...oh, puh-lease...hollowpoints, poison, and a candle. Child's play, workbench not needed.

Alright, so judging by the lack of suppressors i've seen.. I'm guessing this won't be available as a mod in the game, at least not for pistols, or the hunting rifle :meh:

Theres still hope for AR's, but really.. I loved the standard hunting rifle in FO3 (until even Ole Reliable got outclassed, therefore making it not very useful)

Hunting rifle with scope, extended mag, and silencer FTW! :( Stupid rare .308 ammo.

Actually, we know that the .22 pistol can be fit with a suppressor.

The 9mm one might have one too. Remember, we've only seen 2 mods for the 9mm pistol- a scope and an extended mag. There's supposed to be 3 for each gun, at least.
Also, the 10mm from F3 is back, and it would be silly if we couldn't replicated the "silenced 10mm" from F3 by slapping our own on it.

See, thats what I figured (didn't know the .22 pistol could have a suppressor, but I also haven't seen the .22), but I really REALLY am hoping for a suppressor for some rifles (or all rifles!) :D

so far the rifles we do know all 3 mods for (like the hunting rifle) show no suppressor.

They haven't said that there are only three mods per gun, but that you can only have three on any one gun. Just because we haven't seen it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

true, tho at the same time there haven′t been any hints that there are more then 3 mods per gun.

Even if there's only 3 mods per gun, there still might by silencers for rifles because we haven't seen all the mods for anything besides the hunting rifle.

The marksman carbine already starts with a fancy stock, a tactical ACOG-like scope, and a neat camo job, unless all those things are mods too. (However, it's worth noting that we've never seen the marksman carbine without these features.)

So there's plenty of room for a silencer in there, among things like custom actions, longer barrels, night vision scopes, foregrips and the like.

The hunting revolver is most likely a imitaion to the BFR "Biggest Finest Revolver" wich fires anything from a standard 45. up to a HUGE 500. magnum, much bigger than a standard 500.

Yeah, the lack of suppressors (that I've seen) is going to kill my planned playstyle as well. All I used was the Silenced 10mm and the Infiltrator in Fallout 3, and I would've loved to use the hunting rifle, but it didn't have a suppressed variant (or a scoped variant) so.... I don't know, there's already so many mods to look forward to that I can't complain, I just hope there will be suppressors for these:

Marksmen Carbine
Assault Carbine
Service Rifle
Sniper Rifle
Semi Automatic Rifle (M1 Garand)
Hunting Rifle
9mm SMG
9mm Pistol

true, personally I don′t mind, I still have cleared raiders in one, good series of VATS stealth headshots with my hunting rifle, and I′m sure I can keep pulling that of even without a silencer.

Ah... I forgot about the Varmint Rifle... that's good, but hopefully my stealth character won't have to stick with it until the end just because it's one of the few guns with a suppressor mod. :shakehead:

hmm I wonder if the bonus to damage it has applies to the head, because if so a silenced Varmin rifle sounds like it can be good for picking off helmet less thugs.

From what I understand, the Varmint Rifle has bonuses to limbs. But then again, from what I understood, it was also in .22, so what do I know?

I think Sawyer changed it up because a bolt action .22 with only 5 rounds in a magazine was essentially going to turn into a 'throw away' weapon like FO3's Chinese Pistol or .32 Revolver. I like it how it is now though, hopefully it'll do at least 12 damage so I can use it as my main stealth weapon if I can't put suppressors on anything else.

Wait those are the only mods for the hunting rifle, link for exact words?

Also Sawyer stated that the Varint Rifle now fires 5.56 ammo because not many people(idiots) found it useful.

care to elaborate on who you're referring to as idiots?

also, I doubt we'll be getting suppressors until pretty late in the game, but still. I'd like to be able to hush up my weapons. I like how the varmint rifle is silenced though, it'll make it nice for hunting in hardcoe mode (if no other gun is available)

So far as I know the Thunderer has never been fired with a live full load by someone holding it, it has been fired with a blank (all of the nightime pictures of the gun being fired the gun fired a blank) and fired from a static bench mount with "mil spec" M1 ball load only.

PS lock this thread.
