With a Red Ryder BB Gun? I don't think so.
@fallouthreeboy That's not funny... at all.
That's the point dude, a BB gun is useless in the Fallout world (where everyone has got assault rifles and shotguns).
Well, the stock lever action Red Ryder style BB gun could probably kill a man in 50 shots, but that's besides the point. The point is that this is a world where you can put together a vacuum cleaner and a leaf blower and some other junk, and use it to propel garden gnomes at high speeds to kill you.
It's not too far fetched that you could put an extremely powerful hopup mod on your BB gun to give it something like 1500 FPS, which is more than capable of taking down a man, or a buffalo for that matter, and what's more, it's quiet.
What's the point of the .22 SMG and Pistol after all? You start out with the 9mm pistol, and soon get a 9mm SMG. It's because they're easily silenced. Quiet guns for stealthy characters.
And even without such a mod, you could find a BB gun is useful as a less lethal weapon that can knock people out, like the Beanbag rounds for the shotgun.
There most certainly is a reason to use a BB gun.
Who else wants special combat animations? For instance, instead of simply slashing with a melee weapon, why not stab occasionally? And instead of just punching for unarmed, how about we kick every now and again? And I've always wanted to be able to sit down next to my mark at a bar and say "Sorry, friend, your bad for buisness..." and then pull out my magnum and slowly place it against his head, squeezing the trigger, and watching him fall to the floor, then ordering some scotch.
Oh yeah, who else thinks that it would actually show you drinking while you drank and eating when you ate, or how about we make useless items usefull? Like maybe we could actually smoke cigerattes or cigars, the ciggerattes whould increase charisma around certain people, and decrease it around others, and the cigar would increase it around everybody. (because they smell good)
Yes please, I want all of that. Especially the second part. The animations are there, why not use them?
