weird easter eggs and random encounters youve seen.

Last night I ran into a Frost Troll cave that had a skeleton hanging from the iced over ceiling. Makes me wonder if a dev was a Star Wars fan.

Similar cave in Bloodmoon, complete with a sword stuck in the ground below the skeleton.

One of my favorite M'aiq the Liar quotes , " M'aiq is always looking for calipers , yet finds none . Where could they all have gone ?" .
Another one that made me crack up was " M'aiq was soul trapped once , it wasn't very pleasant . You should think about that sometime."

The random hunters that chase bunnies.

I am especially fond of the ones that shout, "Skyrim belongs to the nords!" as they chase down the bunnies.
Oh, this cracks me up as well. This is a true story - I was past Helgen and heard someone yelling - a huntress, and she was shooting at a rabbit who was unconcernedly hopping around. Her horse was down the road. Haemar's cave was right there, so I left her to her target practice, went in and when I came out the Huntress and her horse were no where to be seen, there were literally 20-30 arrows just sticking up out of the ground down the road... and a rabbit, still hopping about the arrows, without a care in the world.

The funniest thing i've seen was a group of hunters just chilling in a hot spring, Cracked me up
Ha! Yeah, I saw that too, on my way to do the Gildergreen quest for the Danica I think. However, sadly, they got a wee bit hotter a short while later as a flame dragon decided to strafe the area.

For caliper references, I loved talking to the ditzy Wylandriah, the mage in Riften -she had a funny calipers reference.

Me too.

Happened across a snow troll fighting a normal one the other day and I've found a couple of "restrooms" but that's about all I've got that hasn't been mentioned.

One of the reviews I read before buying the game mentioned sitting on a chair right at the top of a mountain, I've climbed every mountain, followed every stream but haven't found it yet.

I saw a sabre tooth tiger chilling in the hot spring. I suppose that's not so strange - tigers seem to like water in the real world.

Weirdest thing I have encountered was a bug. I'd already done the horse quest for Louis Letrush, but then encountered three of him (minus the horse) outside Whiterun. One got killed in the Whiterun civil war battle but the other two were still there. Much later, I found a dead Louis all the way over by Windhelm. Very strange.

I forgot what quest and where, but at some point I came across an Ice Cave with Ice Trolls living in it.. A LOT of them.. and there was an upside down skeleton in the ceiling at some point frozen in from the knee down (Starwars reference it was where Luke was on Hoth)

Thought of mentioning as some people had wondered...

I found the lady who'd think it's an honor to get Wabbajacked. Well, I had the staff in my inventory, and I hit her. Turned her into a bunny. And she ran away. That's that. :(

Bandit cave with a blind bandit sitting at a table just inside the entrance. His remarks clue you in to his blindness. Killed and looted him. Took the book on the table. (Ooooh. Maybe it'll grant me a level in something.)

Spoiler
Joke's on me. The pages are all blank.

You and she go back and forth with a bunch of magical technobabble. Thanks to you, she has a major breakthrough- but can't remember what you were talking about in the first place.

You can start a similar conversation with Arniel up at the college; he gives you a dirty look and says "Don't patronize me!" :lmao:

Has anyone found Labyrinthian in the game? because I haven't.
Do the colleg quests and you'll find it. It's huge if you explore enough you can't miss it. It's actually bigger than most towns in my opinion.

Night before last, I found a write your own adventure book. Unfortunately, it didn't have enough pages to actually play it. Most of the pages it did have killed off the hero.

Heh, ran into Louis Letrush *again* today - this time he was being killed by one of Maven's thugs. Guess she wasn't pleased about the horse. So I suppose that's all three Letrushes accounted for now. Unless there are more somewhere...

Has anyone else had a young mage approach them in Whiterun and ask for help with ward spell? It gives you a quest to hold your ward up and let him attack you, then he says oh thanks and I think gives you gold or some crappy loot and leaves. This happened after I had already completed the College of Winterhold quest line. I've also had a random mage try to duel me in Whiterun, I believe this was also after I had completed the College of Winterhold quest line.

i just did encounter something strange. some hired thugs were following me all the time but did not attack me.
ok fine so i left them alive and allowed them to do some adventures with me.
now i fast travelled to the throat of the world to read the elder scroll.
while the nord heroes were fighting against alduin, suddenly the 3 thugs came and started to attack alduin, aswell as the heroes.
one thug survived and is still following me all the time.
i mean, how unlogical can this be.
sorry for bad english

the labyrinthian, is hard to get to although easy for high levels, bring about 2-3 followers with you (and alot of cure disease/ poison) if you are the person to get hit by traps alot.

It hasn't happened to me and I've far too many hours of playing under my belt.

had a hilarious event with him. I had been trying to sneak into a giant camp to rob their chest, but was too low to be able to tackle the giant and the three mammoths that were at his camp. As I gave up and was skulking off, I see that dude with the cow. We chat, he cheerfully announces he is offering the cow to the giants... I figure Hmmm, I will follow at a distance in sneak mode and maybe I can still get to the chest while they are distracted by this guy. So I am sneaking around as the farmer leads the cow to the camp. They detect eye is slightly open... I hear the Giant make angry giant noises, the mammoths start trumpeting and I hear the farmer scream something... I sneak closer, wanting that chest... then I hear Whomp and see the farmer airborne from the giants club. I start to giggle helplessly - he went flying "off screen", really airborne. I hear the mammoths trumpet again and realize... that they can see me - they turn as one, along with the giant and literally start stampeding toward me. Ground shake and everything, OH CRAP!!!! I start running and used the Whirlwind Sprint shout and keep sprinting until I am out of range. ...
... then I got pwned by a bear, because I wasn't paying attention.

OMG you crack me up! hahahahahahaha This was too funny! Yea, the Giant wasn't actually paying attention to me, he was angry at the farmer, maybe for painting the cow? hahahahaha

I agree, the random encounters are the best and Beth did a great job of giving Skyrim a live of its own. :)

I remember when I first came across Drela's Cottage. Thinking, I can just waltz into random homes, I opened the door and BAM got a nasty surprise LOL A re-load was in order, 'nuff said. This time around, I actually spared the guy. Heck what right do I have to just enter his cottage? LOL

If you haven't come across Angi's Camp, I highly recommend it. It's a fun way to level your Archery for 5 points. Her hut is southeast of Falkreath, up in the mountains. :)

I have seen some Alki'r questioning a redguard female, then realising she is'nt the right one.

A man came past and asked me to hold a helmet. then ran off. then the owner came and I gave it him back.

A horse came flying off a mountain in a deleted playthrough. It flew through the air and landed on the floor dead. Then a female bandit came sliding down the mountain and attacked me.

I've seen a Redguard woman being questioned several times after being given the quest, one of the Alkir always notices she doesn't have the scar and isn't the right one.

I've also seen the farmer successfully deliver the cow, the pair of them walked into the camp west of Whiterun, the cow stopped and the farmer walked out the other side unharmed. One time I followed him and the cow was killed by a bear, the farmer said something along the lines of "my wife will be angry when I tell her I need another cow."

I found two naked women... in the middle of the night, near the Eldergleam Sanctuary. There was a man as well, nearby. Three hunters, relaxing in the hot springs at their camp. One was almost completely under water like she was dead, but when I came nearby she said: 'need something?'

The book "Immortal Blood" is the backstory about a warrior from the Fighter' Guild called Movarth Piquine. The book's author is anonymous. But it was most likely written by a mysterious priest he met. This priest would send him out on numerous Van Helsing type vampire slaying quests. Until one day Movarth dissappeared, presumably murdered under mysterious circumstances. The next time you meet him a century later, he gets to be murdered a second time by you at Morvath's Lair in Morthal.

The crazy necromancer with the chicken-nest altar and a flock of undead chickens.
I literally ran into that particular creep after climbing a particularly steep rock precipice. Forget where though. What really creeped me out was his chickens. They respwaned the moment you looted the gem off that altar

I've come across numerous mercs, and and despite taking on their job, I've never known what or where it was either.

Noble on a horse escorted by an Imperial soldier. Both are typically high-handed. I ignored them and continued down the road, where I encountered 3 wolves. As I killed them, I noticed a couple of giants apparently sauntering towards me. I thought I'd wait and see what would happen when the noble and giants met up.

Well, the giants ambled off the road, and the noble was nowhere to be seen. So I went back up the road and there they were, staring at the dead wolves!

if its a place you never visited you get the "map updated" and you can see it in the map, if you already discovered it you'll never know which one is

I came across the kids who offered to show me a nearby dwemer ruin for a price (I threatened them instead... little jerks). However, while following them a dragon attacked. Lydia and I killed the dragon... then I realized that I couldn't find the kids. I still have no idea where they ran off to. However, in my search, I came across a small pond/hotspring with a naked (in her undies) dead women in it. Nearby were her clothes and stuff. I looked around but couldn't figure out who killed her.
