Werebears?

I swear to Hircine, if I see one more sentence with the word bear in it, I'm going to sacrifice Temba Wide-Arm to a pack of Bears!

What's wrong with bear lol?

I agree, Gamejam video had Adoption, Werebears, Dragon riding, water arrows, Assassin vision, Goblins, Spears, Giant Mudcrab, and Vampire Lord. Everything is confirmed except Vision, Arrows, Werebear, and Mudcrab. Their is a high chance Werebears will be in this DLC considering it is a settlement for Lycanthropes. If you played Morrowind then you would know.
I think that there is a high chance we will get most of the GamJame. So sooner or later I believe we will get Werebears.

I think with DB being on Solstheim I don't see why Beth can't tie-in Werebears some how. Maybe they all migrated to Solstheim.

Werebears are known to roam the entire northern region of Tamriel, including Solstheim. Just because they have yet to be featured doesn't mean they all left or disappeared for unknown reasons.

If they introduce werebears I am so making a Breton sage who roams the wilderness and never wears shoes.

I know but maybe this could be Beths excuse why they weren't in the vanilla Skyrim

No. They just weren't implemented in gameplay, just like Spears. Spears didn't all migrate to an island.

That would be quite a site seeing a few hundred thousands spears flying/swimming to an island.

He's saying that this could be a way to explain why werebears aren't in vanilla skyrim, he's not trying to say Beth needs an excuse

They didn't go anywhere. Not everything that was supposed to be in Skyrim was there, it would be unreasonable to expect everything in lore to get in. Thats gameplay/lore segregation. Just because they weren't featured in this specific instance doesn't mean they didn't exist in the background.

I really hope that Werebears are added to Skyrim. Then Skyrim will be as I imagined it... Nords, Snow, and Werebears.

It would be a big let down to feature a return to Solstheim and not have any were creature content in it after Bloodmoon. Considering this is a return to Solstheim, the fact it was shown in the game jam video and that a hell of a lot of people were expecting it for Dawn Guard, my gut is telling that it is very probable that were bears will be featured. It makes more sense than to not include them but we shall see.

That is simply Bear Armor. It was featured in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind expansion "Bloodmoon" when we first visited Solstheim. It was frequently seen being worn by the Nord natives. It's also in Skyrim though rarer. I am still hoping for Werebears though. With apparent Dragon riding, we are going down the list of things featured in the Game Jam Video.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very much "pro-werebear", but do any of you remember how many people were groaning and whining about them possibly being added for the month before Dawnguard came out? Maybe 15% really wanted them in, 25% didn't care, and the other 60% were raging about it. I think it's funny though how it's been reversed lol now it's like 60% want it, 25% don't care, and 15% don't want them.

I don't see that.
Werebear fans are a vocal minority, then as now.

Are you saying that the "anti-werebear" community have just gotten less vocal? Because it's gotten much less common for people to post against it than they did with Dawnguard. It seems like there are many more people that support it now, also.

To be honest, people just went over to ridicule the werebar idea by spamming "Werechicken", "Werepanda" and whatever in the respective threads.
I guess they became tired of arguing against the Werebear-fans.

My opinion on the matter is quite neutral... I would rather see Bethesda use their time to do better writing, but I won't rage against werebears. They are in the lore after all.

I generally only see that when people start spouting over-the-top things like weredragons and such. Plus, the number of people who are for it is still quite high compared to pre-release Dawnguard. Back then I remember only reading a couple posts that were "pro-werebear" and they were mostly littered with "anti-werebear" sentiments. Now it's mostly positive reactions. Maybe it being a Nord heavy DLC people are accepting it more? Where Dawnguard was a Vampire Lord/Vampire-Slayer DLC?

The last weeks I had the feeling there is more opposition to were-stuff than everything else, but that's subjective.
Maybe you're right. I guess I don't really care, as said, my stance towards the whole affair is rather neutral.
If there are werebears, I am happy for the fanst, if there are no werebears I won't even notice, I guess.
