Werebears?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 9:24 pm

Beth could make the Werewolf a "stealth" transformation by adding a sneak toggle the Vamp Lord the "mage" and the Werebear the "melee" or "tank" transformation.

But wouldn't that make their inclusion in the Companions unsuitable?

How? Just simply add a "sneak" toggle like Beth added the the lycanthropy perk tree and you would be able to click whatever button you click to sneak.

Not really. They already fit the role as fast, light armored warriors. By adding sneak it would just make them more like predators, like how were in Bloodmoon.

Just picture werewolves as fast glasscannons and werebears as slow, powerful tanks.

This. ^

I imagine Werebears being the large "tanks" or "brutes" of Skyrim and Werewolves being the sneaky "glasscannons"

I swear to Hircine, if I see one more sentence with the word bear in it, I'm going to sacrifice Temba Wide-Arm to a pack of Bears!

I have a strong feeling Werebears will make it in.

1: Werebears are the most common in Skyrim and Solstheim * Lore *
2: GameJam video nuff said

3: Bethesda won't overlook their fans.

I say be positive and expect them on Dec. 4th, i know i do.

I'm hopeful of them being in DB. It's an opportunity I just don't think Beth is going to pass up. Just like the Bloodmoon expansion introduced Werewolves, it'll come back full circle of DB ends up introducing Werebears. Also, look at the video of the lycanthropy perk tree in the GameJam video. There are a lot more perks there. I wouldn't be surprised if they gave Werewolves some more love, seeing how Dawngaurd was the vampire expansion. Then again, we never got the Vampire Lord Imp minions, and the video shows the Vampire Lord using some strange kind of chain-drain-life ability or something. They could have just scrapped some of this stuff.

On a sidenote, there's still a lot of stuff in that GameJam we haven't seen yet. Pretty cool.

Why would they make a "'GameJam DLC" when we already have over half of the GameJam?

Because this is Bethesda. Not everything from GameJam has or 'will be' released. Who knows? Maybe we will see free updates including various things, maybe we will see a D/L or maybe we won't see anymore from GJ.

But you made it sound like they take the GameJam and make it a DLC. That woud be pointless since we have over half of it.

I was half-joking, half throwing out a wild idea. Anything is possible. I doubt we will actually see a 'GameJam DLC', but I think something along those lines would be well received After all, how much more DLC will we see for Skyrim before TES: VI?

TES:VI? I doubt they will make it, it would make no sense. TES Online is coming and with it all provinces. Skyrim was made for it's final showing, why you think all this effort was put into it? How can you make something better than the Dragonborn anyway. Solstheim, Hammerfell, Cyrodiil, and High Rock are already coming as expansions. No TES VI buddy. Too much to ask for imo.

Assuming TES:O is popular enough. I would like to see a TES: VI but I can see your points :)

You know thats only for PC right? Its and MMO. So TES: VI isn't out of the picture there are still us xbox and PS3 fans that need a game to play and as popular as Skyrim is I know everyone is wating for TES: VI

Let me re-phrase it, Not saying they won't make it because i don't work for them but it is highly unlikely, just saying. Each has their opinion.

It wouldn't matter if it's popular enough. Saying there won't be an Elder Scrolls VI because it has all the provinces moots the entire Dragonborn DLC. We've already been to Solstheim in a DLC. Bethesda making a DLC for Solstheim again makes no sense. (See what I did there?) Also, where are these showings that we're going to Hammerfell, Cyrodil, and High Rock as expansions? We've already been to Hammerfell, Cyrodil, and High Rock. Making DLC for those places we've already been to makes no sense! Skyrim is not Bethesda's "final showing", nor is it far from being the last Elder Scroll game. Skyrim's popularity and success has definitley secured that. The Elder Scrolls series is Bethesda's flagship series. That'd be like Bioware not making another Dragon Age or Mass Effect (which they are). Also, as far as "all this effort" goes, that's pretty subjective, considering you could look at Oblivion and say the same thing. Or even Morrowind. Not to be rude, but saying Skyrim is the last Elder Scrolls game is a pretty naive thing to say.

You know thats only for PC right? Its and MMO. So TES: VI isn't out of the picture there are still us xbox and PS3 fans that need a game to play and as popular as Skyrim is I know everyone is wating for TES: VI

And that's another very good point. Bethesda's flagship platform now is obviously the Xbox 360. Plus, in retrospect, Lord of the Rings Online pretty much includes a majority of the places in the LoTR world, if I'm not mistaken, yet they still make other LoTR games. Just because one game that is for the smaller of the 3 platforms main Elder Scrolls games are made for includes all the provinces in no way means that they're just gonna stop making Elder Scroll games after TESO
