Werebears?

Post » Sat Nov 17, 2012 2:48 pm

I don't see that.
Werebear fans are a vocal minority, then as now.
A minority? I think its more of a majority thing. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1421530-poll-if-you-could-have-any-were-creature-added-thats-in-the-lore/it seems like people want them more.

That counts only partly, friend. The question here is which werecreature is wanted. If I had to chose for Skyrim, I would also vote for werebears, for obvious lore reasons.
But this poll has no "no new were-stuff" option.

Here's a better one http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1421404-do-you-still-want-werebears-or-an-explanation-for-their-disappearance/page__st__90__p__21774467__hl__werebears__fromsearch__1#entry21774467. It's a straight up yes or no poll.

Werebears would be awesome, but I don't think they will be in because they would clash with Werewolves as a melee-based transformation, albeit a more heavy one. I consider the Vampire Lord a magic-based transformation, so if anything, I would expect a stealth-based transformation.

Bethesda could add a sneak option to werewolves, like how they were in Bloodmoon

Search Skyrim's unadded features on youtube and skip to 3:43. They have at least thought about it.

Beth could make the Werewolf a "stealth" transformation by adding a sneak toggle the Vamp Lord the "mage" and the Werebear the "melee" or "tank" transformation.

I agree, werewolves should be hunters not hulks.

OMG... could it be...?

Man Bear Pig! 0o0

Seriously, though, it is probably just a set of armor, maybe something you can get if you are a werewolf? I would honestly like to see a little more love for the werewolf players. If I don't become a vampire (I become one mainly for the great ring it can give you in Dawnguard's side quest), I would easily become a werewolf. It is because a werewolf is immune to all diseases, which is VERY helpful to me, since I do not want to carry about ten Cure Diseases on me at all times (I'm paranoid like that, and it would be just my luck I would get something that lowers my strength and makes me unable to move with the stuff I'm carrying. What can I say? I'm greedy for gold! :3 ).

But I suppose we will have to wait until it comes out to see what it was. I'm thinking it's just a regular guy in a new suit or something, but you never know.

This. We need a "sneak" and a "tank" transformation.

That is simply Bear Armor. It was featured in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind expansion "Bloodmoon" when we first visited Solstheim. It was frequently seen being worn by the Nord natives. It's also in Skyrim though rarer. I am still hoping for Werebears though. With apparent Dragon riding, we are going down the list of things featured in the Game Jam Video.

This is correct everything from the game jam video is just about in the game now. except spears dragon riding goblins and a giant mud crab

I would give anything to have WEREBEARS! I'd also like getting lycanthrophy from wild werecreatures and some mentions of Hircine and his hunt from the time of Bloodmoon.

One day on this forum i saw a message saying that if werebears are added they should also add sneak for werewolves so it will be
Warrior ==> Werebear
Thief ==> Werewolf
Mage ==> Vampire

I'm dragging this a bit... I'm just curious. I'm not under the same 'fan-dom' spell lycanthropy has over some of the forum-goers, but I'm almost sure they'll implement them in Solstheim. But how? I mean, another faction? Or just a single person who you do a few quests for/help out and in return, he/she grants you the ability to become a Were-bear? Will you have to get rid of your were-wolf ability? Will it have it's own perk-tree? I know it took some time for werewolves to have a perk tree. Werewolves and werebears enemies? or do the co-exist?
I'd be happy with you getting it from some super secret, obscure location, and hard to get to location with a bunch of enemies and once you reach the end, you find a Shrine of Hircine and he rewards you for your effort. No questline needed, though it would be nice.

This would be pretty cool way to become a werebear.
