Vampire Lord, like many other existing vampire media was inspired by previous gampire media. I think once you get to see it more clearly though you will see that we did put our own spin on it. I can understand some of you wanting something very different but is it any different than the fact that our regular vampires have the same look as existing vampire from popular media? (vampire eyes/vampire fangs/bloodsvckers) how is that really any different? That being said, I do not think you guys are wrong in wanting something totally different looking but we felt this direction was a good fit for what most people would like. Fear not though guys and gals, they have some really cool powers and if your still not convinced, you can always kill those dirty bloodsvckers

It's different because the lore-determined characteristics of the Volkihar vampires are completely absent while these new vampires have never been mentioned in the lore before and they get their own DLC. Why rip pages from your own lore to make room for something COMPLETELY unoriginal?
It's like an original idea for vampires (the Volkihar) and how they look and act was completely tossed out in favor of a more cliché, mainstream idea that seems straight out of a popular movie...
C'mon guys, you can do better. I made a suggestion a couple pages back of a cool way to implement the Volkihar that would've been lore-friendly and an interesting gameplay mechanic. Not trying to say "omg my idea is the best ever," just saying it seems logical given the backround lore of the Volkihar, the ability to make enemies spawn from world items (like Spriggans and trees) and the interesting gameplay it would add in. It would've been lore-friendly and fun, yet the Volkihar we have are just the Cyrodiil strain with a different name. Why?
