Pretty unoriginal now that I see all these other versions... Though pretty much everything with vampires is unoriginal since they've been done to death in every type of media ever.

I think they look totally badass and I am totally happy with them. I'm sure plenty of people will not share my sentiments though, so brace yourself.

There is something that just came to my mind.Do you guys think they will have a female version of the vamp lord with briasts?..Like the beast form of Carmilla from Castlevania lords of shadow.I don't think they have/would/will.So they are basicly genderless or just equally ugly, fearsome both male and female?! :bunny:
Showing bare briasts in a game in america is a no go i guess or it would make the game advlt content
Well I think I saw a loincloth on the vamp lord so if they have a female model (I hope so since my vamp character is female) it would probably have a cloth bra or mini-poncho or a scarf or something to cover them up. i dunno just my thoughts.

Not really. Mods will prevent me from having to play as some unoriginal Van Helsing/Underwold amalgamation of lame. So I'll get to enjoy the new content without the setback of a new lore-breaking transformation. :tops:

How is bethesda breaking their own lore they wrote it and can add to it as they see fit. It is there story to tell after all.

Well people on console are out of luck.

I think console people will be fine, people in this forum are way too dramatic

They look pretty legit in terms of what they represent. Vampire Lords seem to represent the, "super Vampires" and it does that through the appearance pretty well. They already look more powerful than the regular vampires but look obviously like some kind of Daedric monster. Kind of even like a low level Daedric prince.

I thought the Vampire Lord looked extraordinary, it was awesome, and Bethesda is amazing for putting them into the game, hopefully there is a cool story behind them.

i fought volikhar vamps last nite..they looked like regular vamps in black mage robes only with "volikhar" written in their name

That's kind of his point. The Volikhar are pretty much the Cyrodiliic strain of vampirism in this game, which doesn't adhere to lore in any fashion.

I'm reserving judgement on the Vampire Lords right now, until I see them in action. They were lacking in the gamejam video, but they look much improved and I'm willing to give them a chance.

I do wish the Volikhar made an appearance though, maybe they'll also be added to the game (Hint, hint vsions. Hi there, by the way).

Vampire Lord, like many other existing vampire media was inspired by previous gampire media. I think once you get to see it more clearly though you will see that we did put our own spin on it. I can understand some of you wanting something very different but is it any different than the fact that our regular vampires have the same look as existing vampire from popular media? (vampire eyes/vampire fangs/bloodsvckers) how is that really any different? That being said, I do not think you guys are wrong in wanting something totally different looking but we felt this direction was a good fit for what most people would like. Fear not though guys and gals, they have some really cool powers and if your still not convinced, you can always kill those dirty bloodsvckers ;)

Looking forward to it either way. But is there any chance that we'll see Volikhar that fit the lore more so than the vampires we currently have in Skyrim?

I wouldn't worry about these people who complain about wanting something different, they just think vampires are overdone because of the recent media. I like the idea, and I thought the way you guys made it the Vampire Lord look is cool.

What Vsions said! Seriously, I made a post VERY similar to yours earlier People are just so pessimistic on this forum and they'll never be satisfied as a result. Mind if I quote you next time this argument appears?

Awesome. Hope you can make it happen. I've been looking forward to fighting them (and the other various strains of vampirism) since reading Immortal Blood.

Thanks for the reply!

Vsions, in the trailer there is a bat creature that busts through a wall, is that the same thing as the Vampire Lord? I ask because I thought the Vampire Lord looked slightly different from it.

I don't mind their looks, even if it is against the known vampire lore(for now). I am more interested in how they play.
