What does "Milk-Drinker" actually mean?

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 11:43 pm

Ok, I hear this all the time from NPCs in Skyrim. It's meant as an insult, but why?
I don't understand the term or why it is considered an insult. In Morrowind, they told us what "fetcher", "s'wit", and "n'wah" meant, so why aren't they telling us what "mild-drinker" means?

Is it meant to be taken literally, as in "someone who drinks milk"? If so, what is bad about drinking milk, and what beverage is suggested in place of milk?

Or am I thinking too hard about this and should just forget about it?

they mean you are immature and weak, like a babe that briast feeds or a kid that is too young to drink mead (who has to drink milk), at least i think

In Skyrim, everyone is lactose intolerant, and they're all jealous of you because you're not.

People always make fun of the person who's different...

I would assume that it means one who can only down milk ~not ale or other "real man's" alchoholic drink.

(nothing stronger than milk)

Its just like RL where the beer companies try to convince you that your not a man unless you drink their light beer.

Its a very silly insult. I always respond, "Why yes, I do have strong and healthy bones, thanks for noticing!". I then demonstrate my superior bone development and their lack of calcium intake by whacking them with a warhammer.

And thank for volunteering, I have a blade with soultrap and a empty black gem.
I was always disappointed then I did not run into these guys between Whiterun and Riverwood, they was useful for filling the black star so I could enchant another item in Riverwood.

Nord are pretty weak in the insult department, remember "have you seen any elves" in Morrowind,

Hey, if somebody called me a milk drinker, I wouldn't mind. Getting my face full of female chest isn't that bad.

They are ambiguously implying that you're a briast-fed child.

If you want to make it really interesting, take a shot everytime you're called a "milk drinker".

This.

It`s means you`re a baby who still drinks at its mother`s boobs.

It`s an insult.

I don't see how it's an insult. I wish my mother still briast fed me. We never bond anymore. Plus it's incredibly nutritious. It's free too, so that's one less cow to milk.

You`re joking right? Even today that would insult anyone that`s of advlt or teenage age.
