WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO GET A RESPONSE FROM BETHESDA?

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 12:45 pm

Why are we not hearing anything from them. We are being ignored. What a shamble for a games company.

Have you not seen the amount of texture issues us xbox360 owners are getting. There's posts all over the forum and they haven't cleared anything up. its nothing to do with installation on the hdd at all!

They are ignoring it. they posted one update yesterday about it and said it was just one issue when it is clearly not!

What, do you want hourly reports? They are working on it and they'll tell us when they fix it.

I actually heard a rumour that they weren't going to do anything about it until the game releases internationally, which is next month. This is probably BS, but before I actually got my hands on the game I also thought this texture issue was just BS as well. So who knows.

last report was yesterday and it addressed installing on your Hdd only.. I think we would all be happy with at least a yes we are working on it. Maybe some apologies and a time frame in which we can look to continuing to enjoy our game. If you could see how this game looks on my xbox its horrific. I'm not a gfx [censored] at all its just unplayable for what we was expecting. Also i have not got it installed on my hdd.

Except their "solution" wasn't a real solution at all. They said play from the disk and let the cache build up and the problem will correct itself. This isn't even remotely true. So the one comment on this they made was false. How about we get a real response this time with some factual information.

I read this too. Surely 11.11.11 was the international release date? They cant leave it a month. Some of us fans are loosing faith and quickly.

It's only 1 day after the release...and they are probably working on the most important ones.

If i were them, i would wait a couple of days, tally up the amount of people being affected to see if its a consistent bug, try and find the bug ingame myself, then report that your looking at it.

you cant expect them to take only 24 hours to look at all these different threads, find the problem, fix it, test it out, testing if it makes any more bugs in the game, if they find its created another bug, then they need to fix that and it goes on and on and on.

No peice of program is EVER bug free, there is no such thing as totally bug free programs.

Im not asking for it to be spontaneously fixed.. I am asking for some info on if they are doing something or not and when? The last info doesn't address the problem most of us have. I am fully aware of the process it takes. I just want some answers. So do the majority of others that payed good money for a horrific looking game.

This seriously isn't about a prompt fix, although I expect that to be honest. All we want is a little more information from bethesda. Read the title.

The patching process is really time consuming.
First they have to gather user feedback.
Then they have to make a list of the problems and reproduce them in a test environment.
Upon successful reproduction of the issues they have to find the solutions.
Then they have to apply the solutions and re-test everything to make sure that the problems are solved and that the fixes don't mesh anything else up.
Then they have to submit the patch to sony and ms.
Sony and ms will have to process the patch in order to approve it's release through their network infrastructures.
It will take at least a whole month from now, maybe two!

There must have been a few games that have got past this extensive procedure to fix bugs as big as this, on a franchise as big as TES. Please tell me yes...

Im not saying it wont take long. i just want to hear from Bethesda telling us they know the extent of the issue and not just the hdd problem!

I think you find they have our money, so why do they care? The skyrim launch has been a disgrace and has svcked all my enthusiasm away. Such a buggy game, broken quests are more important than the texture issue though. NEVER BUY A BETHESDA GAME ON RELEASE AGAIN. EVER!

It is to be expected for a game this big.
All Bethesda games where like this at launch and every time ppl whine and threaten but funny thing is that every new TES game sells way more than last.

And game wasnt in making 5.5 years, it was 3 years.
Just look at MW 3, they took 2 years to make it and it's basically same as MW 2, while Bethesda made completely new and enormously huge game in 3 years.
Give them a [censored] break. :tes:

I cannot take people seriously defending them for releasing a horribly buggy and broken game. Would you be happy buying a shirt with all holes in it? That is what I have got for my £40.

Why would I give them a break? I spent $70 on a product I am not happy with, that was sold to me under the false pretence that it looked amazing. I traded my money for a product I expected to work (to an extent) in an certain way. It didn't come close so I am disgruntled. I would return the game if it wasn't already opened.

Seriously, we need to stop giving Bethesda a break. Yes Skyrim has potential to be great, but in my eyes that potential has not been fulfilled. We are the people who buy these games and keep Bethesda in business. Instead I feel like I was duped into buying an unfinished game and now that they have my money we're being ignored. Stop giving them a break, they don't deserve it.
