What infuriates you?

Post » Wed Dec 04, 2013 3:08 am

Ok im hoping this will be allowed but i will understand if its not but what im curious an interested to know is what does make you get angry.

Also for good reason lets try an not turn this political, religious or into a flame war.

An i honestly dont care if its a person, movie, song, group or a tv show.

Also if someone says something you dont agree with then id ask you politely to message them this of course a discussion forum not facebook.

But most of the things that infuriate me are of a political nature, but alright, I'll try to keep it as clean as possible.

- Rude, outspoken ignorants, e.g people who make remarks and claims about things they don't know [censored] about. This is usually related to things like politics, religion and history.

- Too much political correctness.

- People who don't know when to shut up.

- Slow drivers.

- Inconsiderate people

- Egocentricity.

- People who make out in public and make it way too obvious.

- People who lick their fingers while eating. Gross!

- 1st world brats who don't know [censored] about how the real world works.

I think a more appropriate question for me would be, "What doesn't infuriate me?"

Not a whole hell of a lot.

One of my biggest pet peeve (Which I mention as it happened this morning) is people who assume reading a well known literary author makes them some profound literary connoisseur who thinks their armchair literary professor opinions mean anything. (To be specific, I got into it over some people over Catcher in the Rye, a book I hate with a passion because of how awful it is and the amount of smug sel-superiority people who hail it as genius tend to have.)

Equality. It's a load of [censored]e and it never will exist because no one is the same as the entire world.

The media. The [censored] media. The people that use the media for their arguments. The people that take the media as facts. The people as ignorant as the media.

Oh and when people smack and eat with their mouth open. Seriously, I don't want to see or hear the garbage you're about to digest.

This really bothers me: when you are looking for cheats for a game and you go to a site like Cheat Code Central or something and under cheats it lists how to unlock certain weapons or get all of the achievements or where to find all the hidden things. THOSE AREN'T CHEATS. Those are already part of the game. STOP LISTING THEM AS CHEATS.

The most weird one is Richard Garriott. I don't even know why. But any time I hear about him or he says something, i get the urge to punch him.

What annoys me most though is jerkass neighbors. I live in an apartment complex. Why, for the love of god, wold they think that playing music so loud you can hear its lyrics at 11 PM is acceptable? One time, the guy kept doing it til *3 AM*. Id never called the cops on someone before, but seriously, 3 in the morning. At first I felt guilty but then it was like "Wait, i'm not mad because of him playing music loudly during the day. Its because its three in the morning."

People who frequently feel the need to share their pessimistic outlook on the world, and themselves, with others.

People who honk their car horn at nothing. If someone behind me is watching the light and lays on the horn the instant it turns green I am very likely to not move.

Greed.

Liars.

Rudeness.

People who hurt others needlessly, just because they can. (Emotionally/psychologically, physcially.)

Cockiness. (True cockiness, not playfull facetious cockiness. A'la tounge in cheek, so to speak.)

That's a start.

Not much. I used to get really worked up when I was clearly right about something and someone wouldn't/couldn't see it, but not anymore. There were other things, but that was the biggie.

You can only really become angry about something if you're invested in it. It's arguable that there's no reason to be invested in anything, as it's all pointless, ultimately. It's all happened before and will happen again. Your existence isn't important; nor is anyone else's. Just let it go. It's a waste of time.

Too zen for this thread? Sorry, off topic.

RARR bad drivers! RARR. Oh, hey, this is actually true. I can't stand bad/inconsiderate drivers. I want to ram them off the road. So much for zen. :P

That my son has CP and possibly Autism and everybody thinks I'm nonsensical when I say that I'm going to find a cure, even if it kills me. It infuriates me more when people say I'm a bad person because I'm unwilling to cope and accept something rather than look for a way to make it better.

The trick is to fix the condition, not the symptom. Periventricular leukomalacia, I will find a way to fix it.

People who see themselves as "intellectuals."

I'm currently dealing with one of these people, and every day this [censored] tells me how I'm "just a sheep" and "lack the capacity" to appreciate "art." He also can't take his arguments being proven wrong.

Whenever we're talking, he literally listens to what I'm saying just to find something to argue about. Like the other day I simply said "I don't think Nickleback are that bad" without any intention to start an arguement. Cue a speech about how I don't think deeply about things and how I only take things at face value, and lack the capacity to ponder the world. Yeah, I don't even know how it relates to [censored] music, either.

I know exactly what you're talking about. But they've stopped doing that, i guess some other people complained. Now they just shout and bash things a lot :hehe: And when not doing that, drilling. Constant drilling and hammering  Well, at least that happens during daytime.

I think the #1 "clean" thing I can say would be when people try to say/praise that their opinion is fact! (Note: Praise as in actually praising the opinion. Not religion).

That and I hate it when people hack/cheat in a PvP game and then call themselves "Awesome" or call the others "Weak/Pathetic"... That or if they used an extremely easy method to win (Such as using OP weapons, like Rocket Launchers in Halo CE) and do the same awesome and weak/pathetic things. (Note: I actually don't mind losing. Just get angry at the whole "Praising themselves" thing they do afterwards, especially if they do something pathetically easy to win).
