What is your most anticipated game of 2012?

Post » Sun Jun 17, 2012 4:54 am

Diablo:3. Can't help it.

And Dishonored.
Brings back the days of me and my mates as kids playing this game(diablo 2 that is).For that reason alone I am excited about it.

Dishonored
Bioshock: Infinite
Assassin's Creed III
Far Cry 3
GTA V (if it does come out this year)
Guild Wars 2 (though, I'm not entirely sure it'll run on my laptop, so maybe not)
The Witcher 2 (I intend to pick this up sooner or later.

Also, a Skyrim expansion.

$360 in games... I might have to narrow this list down to 2 or 3 :ermm:

Now it's a tie between Dishonored (awesome original setting, it seems) and Risen 2.

It does look interesting...sort of a Fullmetal Half-Life 2 Assassin's Creed...

Dragon's Dogma is the only one I'm even remotely interested in, and even then only in the most tertiary manner.

GW2 doesn't have a certain release in 2012 does it?
Anyone can play the next Beta of it for three days this April 27 if you buy a digital version of Guild Wars 2. And they may have more betas open to the public on subsequent weekends. No firm release date though. Google 'guild wars 2 pre purchase' to get your way to playing the beta.

Oh GW2 is the one for me btw.

Skyrim expansions and all the other projects Bethesda could join (I mean the game studio not the publisher)

I'm a little surprised by the lack of love for CS:GO. I guess there aren't too many FPSers on the Beth forums.

CS:GO and somewhat Far Cry 3, I'll probably just rent Far Cry 3 though, I honestly regret buying Far Cry 2 on release.(even though I mostly enjoyed it)

EDIT: I'm also somewhat looking forward to (rent) AC3, I rented AC: Revalations, but never finished it, the ps3 port was crap.(big surprise)

CS:GO is definitely my most anticipated game of 2012. Loving the beta.

Probably X: Rebirth, but I've been playing the Carrier Command Play and Contribute beta, and I'm really looking forward to it's release now too. Need more islands
Edit: Oh, and FTL. Very much looking forward to FTL.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown definately, never played the original UFO: EU - was too young - but I've played what I believe is an incredible (and free) fan-recreation UFO: Alien Invasion. Having only seen the orginals I guess I'm not one to say but it has the same Geoscape and Battlefield style gameplay where your shooting down UFOs with fighters and silos, increasing radar coverage and building your bases, it has the same isometric style battlefield gameplay, troop management, research, alien autopsies. I would suggest anyone into that kind of thing to give it a try.

EDIT: The only thing not yet implimented from the original is psionics, but it is in development - hell first time I've thought about the game in months and I check to see that they released a whole new edition of the game to download only yesterday - serendipidy or what?

The combination of the Dragon's Dogma demo and the lack of any news on The Last Guardian makes Dragon's Dogma take the cake for now.

In this order-
Dishonored
Dragon's Dogma
Assassin's Creed 3
Resident Evil 6 (only because a friend of mine and I played 5 with multiplayer and had a blast with it)

Max Payne 3
GTA V (if it comes out this year)
Bioshock: Infinite

Pretty sure that's about it.

EDIT: Never looked anything up on Dishonored before, looks pretty good, I'll make sure to keep an eye on it.
