Also Scott isn't right. The correct terms are either Scot(s) or Scottish. It is confusing considering the double t in Scottish, but hey that's the English language for you.
Scotland wasn't that badly raided by the Norse. They settled a couple of regions in the far North and West of the country and most of these are now considered to have been relatively peaceful, with interbreeding being very common.
Pardon me for my error, it has been a while since I've done some genealogy or research into anthropology. However I was correct that they were raided and eventually co-mingled (though I did exclude the co-mingling) and can trace my lineage to Northern Scotland before my ancestor fled to Canada due to murder.
