I still don't think it's alduin. It's not menacing enough like the statue is.

I don't think it's Alduin. There are similarities, but seeing as Alduin is supposed to be a gigantic world-eater - And the fact that he's the last dragon to enter the world.. I seriously doubt it's him. However, someone already said it's a lieutanant - that makes sense.




This. This my personal theory. I know it hasn't been confirmed if "Your" (I use that loosely.) dragon is simply controlled by the shout (Perhaps saying it's name?), or if it is helping you of it's own free-will as it doesn't want Alduin to eat the world - however it does make sense that it'd stop you from being executed if the latter option was the case.

So we can say " Oh em gee! It's the dragon from the start!" and gasp.

until it is actually confirmed by a rep that it IS in fact Alduin none of us know, everyone can claim to think they know but nobody will know for sure.

So I watched the other footage. Opening Dragon =/= Friendly Dragon

i will go out on a limb and say its the dragon you later gain the allegiance of or at least a friend of that dragon . after all its saving your life why would alduin stop the execution of the only being that can kill it.

It makes sense for it to be alduin. I don't see why you think it doesn't. In oblivion, Mehrunes dagon came at the end of the main quest because that was the only time he COULD come into the game. The gates were overwhelming cyrodiil and the barrier had been broken. There's nothing keeping alduin from being in the world in this game. another point, this dragon had several incredibly powerful shouts in his arsenal. Other dragons only use one, MAYBE two, but I've never seen it. The wings, and head are actually EXACTLY the same if you look closely enough. at this point I'm not 100%, but more like 80% sure that dragon is alduin.

and to all you people who think he literally eats worlds, I have no idea what to say to you. like SERIOUSLY. IT WAS A METAPHOR. METAPHOR. we saw his size as compared to a word wall.

and if he were a friendly dragon, I doubt he would have attacked you twice.

I believe that Todd has stated what kind of dragon it was in a article.

I don't know, I didn't think it was Alduin at first...but I compared the three pictures against various scenes of the dragon in the video several times and the more I look, the more it seems like it really could be him. Also, at around 12:28 I think we can hear him say something, and it is definitely a masculine sounding voice as well.

I will say that it is not him and we will figure it out if I am right or wrong on 11/11/11

Maybe he's the friendly dragon you can learn to call later on.

He lloks like Alduin, but he's not much bigger than the rest of the dragons we've seen. And Alduin is a little spikier.
