It makes sense for it to be alduin. I don't see why you think it doesn't. In oblivion, Mehrunes dagon came at the end of the main quest because that was the only time he COULD come into the game. The gates were overwhelming cyrodiil and the barrier had been broken. There's nothing keeping alduin from being in the world in this game. another point, this dragon had several incredibly powerful shouts in his arsenal. Other dragons only use one, MAYBE two, but I've never seen it. The wings, and head are actually EXACTLY the same if you look closely enough. at this point I'm not 100%, but more like 80% sure that dragon is alduin.
and to all you people who think he literally eats worlds, I have no idea what to say to you. like SERIOUSLY. IT WAS A METAPHOR. METAPHOR. we saw his size as compared to a word wall.
and if he were a friendly dragon, I doubt he would have attacked you twice.
