Will you be pre-ordering

Post » Wed Aug 26, 2009 12:02 pm

It is unlikely, i can't afford 70 bucks for a game. I'll probably wait for a better deal.

It'll largely depend on funds and any bonuses at hand. I just love it when games come with feelies.

The publisher is mainly just in charge of getting word/hype/anticipation of the game out to the consumer. I haven't played Fallout: NV yet so I don't know of what issues it may have had. I have heard nothing but positive reviews about the game.

That's part of it, but the publisher has a lot of power over a game. What's less certain is how much of that power they choose to extend. They might demand that certain things be added or removed, or that a game be released on time regardless of bugs. They can also sit back and let the developers do their thing, the consumers just don't have any real insight as to what the publisher/developer relationship is for any given game.

I see no need to, since the Collectors Editions are always available in stores on release date. :)

Thats what they said about Fallout New Vegas CE... I never got it even though I preordered at a store... I think this time i'll go with Amazon.

A Cloth Map and a little Trinket and you have my 80$ pre-order.

I know I sound so cynical but hey I still got my Septim Coin and that things pretty cool.

Most likely. I'll wait to see some footage and hear about the game from the devs, and also to see what kind of bonuses there are. But unless it looks like the game is gonna be a dud (which at this point I've pretty much written off as being a possibility at all) I'll probably preorder it eventually.

This is TES. Of course I will. And it'll be the collector's edition, too.

As much as I was disappointed, I was glad I got the collector's edition of Oblivion: the Septim coin and the PGE are great. I hope we get something similar for Skyrim.

Just 10x better.
Don't get me wrong I have owned all 3 versions of Oblivion in the past and at present own GOTY and CE versions of it but I LOVE the pocket guide and coin yet I want MORE than just that, maybe a replica ring, and if it doesn't fit a average size finger than we can always buy a chain and hook it to that as a necklace :D

Also I just got the CE of the game (Teen rating duh lol) but I love it how it was used yet looks new, now idk how the coin looked when it first came out but mine is not GOLD more of a copper ish OLD look to it which matches since it is now a old game, just got this edition about a week ago to:)

I don't think my coin ever looked shiny, and I got my CE on the day Oblivion was released. Actually, I was a little ripped off, my brand new retail copy was missing the "making of" disc or whatnot. I didn't care about that anyway, though.

I'm not sure that they can top the Septim coin for me (a dyed-in-the-wool Imperial) but I'd love to see them try.... I imagine it'll be something Nord related, but one can hope. As for the PGE, I'm not sure what lore-related item could top that. It hasn't been long enough for a new PGE. Still. I'm hoping to be surprised.

Most likely not. I might be interested in a collectors edition if there are some nice physical goodies that come with it, but I'm in no rush to get the game on release. I'd rather wait until the bug chaos has died down.

I will absolutely be pre-ordering what ever mecha super edition they have for Skyrim. I plan on having at least $100 set back just for the occasion.

This.

I just want to know, when was the official trailer released and when was this TES V section put up on the website? Because I don't recall it being her yesterday. Hmmm, perhaps I just answered my own questioned. Well at least tell me when the Official teaser trailer was released, because I don't check youtube every single day.

Yesterday. A bit over 24 hours ago, I think. It was certainly more than 24 hours, but less than 36, because it wasn't here when I went to bed the other night, but it was when I got up in the morning :)

Are you kidding me?

I've had 60$ of pre-order money stowed away for this occasion for the last few years, I will pre-order it the first opportunity I get.

Absolutely. CE or whatever they offer. Anything with TES deserves that much, especially when I've been such a fan of the last two.

Even if worse comes to worse, and it still is very similar to Oblivion, I will be happy. I enjoyed, and still play Oblivion, no matter how much I love Morrowind.

Yes.. but I'll wait until the special edition is announced and they announce what's included before I decide which version of the game to get. I like special editions.. as long as they're actually special.

Probably not. You know which game had the best package and box was Daggerfall. I love looking at the box for it; still have it, too. Morrowind's box svcked, and I don't recall Oblivion even having a box. It was just a DVD case at the store.

I had a moment where I considered buying/preordering it on Steam, as I have quite the collection there, and have already sunk a considerable amount of money into my account. But then I remembered the collectors edition, and how great it felt to have that shiny, folding box in my hand, and how nice it was to hold that coin (Still in it's plastic wrapper.) And I have decided on buying the boxed copy. Maybe the Steam edition too, and just keeping the box in pristine shape.
