Will you be pre-ordering

Post » Wed Aug 26, 2009 9:05 am

Yes, but much like New Vegas, I'm not diving right in. 2-3 patches before I move on to a character built for me. Up until then, I'll use... anything but a combat-oriented Redguard. While kicking the tires, I'll be evaluating what in Skyrim would work for my Luck Overhaul idea.

Nice in-game preorder bonus is what usually motivates me to preorder games.

I'm this much of a really devoted fan that upon viewing the teaser trailer I already knew with 100% accuracy that I would be pre-ordering the Collector's Edition, no matter the price, no matter the extras.

It's no wonder I'm broke half the time :(

EDIT: dat auto-correction of "really devoted fan" :V

Yes, and if the collectors edition is lame then I'll pre-order a regular copy and pocket the extra $20.

OOC, are you serious? If so, why 4 copies?

Because my wife and both kids cannot be denied the magic of TES!

My daughter and son both played and loved Oblivion (at the time ages 10 and 6), and by the time TESV comes out they will be 14 and 10. :)

Each of us has a computer, and I highly doubt they will let me "play" and wait until I'm done before they get their chance - its actually alot of fun having 4 people in the house playing the same game - lots to talk about and share at the dinner table!

Mom: "So how was your day honey?"

Dad: "Not bad! I took down that dragon that was killing the townies in [insert TESV town name], only died about 5 times trying.

Son: "5 times dad? man you svck!"

Dad: "Thanks son, how did you do?"

Son: "I made him beg for mercy before killing him, didn't die once".

Daughter: "I charmed that dragon, currently flying it around - why did you kill it dad? Thats mean!"

Son: "Charm a dragon?! Bah!"

Mom: "Yeah, ever since you got that two-handed dragon sword, every dragon has become a nail!"

Daughter: "Your lucky this isn't multiplayer dad, I would fly down and burn you!"

Dad: "Yep, I svck".

...

How could I give that up? :) Plus I want to support Bethesda to the maximum extent that I can, so 4 copies it is!

(Miax tries to find a http://bit.ly/dPJRmNhttp://bit.ly/dPJRmN for the next 11 months).

Yep - I only buy maybe 2 or 3 games a year, and this will definitely be one of them (and I'll splash out for the CE) :)

If the CE looks good, then I will. Stores in my town tend not to actually stock them, so you have to pre-order if you want one.

The release date is two days before my birthday - I think I'll be asking for this as an early birthday present :D

Everybody vote for "Likely, depends on bonus for pre-ordering" or "Unlikely, unless a really good bonus", we shouldn't miss the opportunity to ask for a nice pre-order package.

Lie if you have to... I did.

No. I wasn't satisfied with Oblivion so I won't preorder (but that just means less people in line for those that will!)

I just want to get it and I would assume it would have a collectors edition although theirs no real benefits besides guarantee of getting it unless they do bonus items which I don't really care that much

Probably, I like my collectors editions.

Hard to say for sure until I know more about the game though, if they stray much further from the sandbox-ish formula, then I'll probably wait for a GOTY with all the nickle and dime DLC in it.
