I agree.....I mean hardware is the sign of a true technophile right? LMAO.....Admittedly I speak as one that owns two of the three next gen consoles and a decent PC as well....What can I say? HARDWARE HARDWARE HARDWARE!!!!! And in reality, PC's are the most potent all around, but there are certain advantages to the newer consoles (e.g. Cell Broadband Engine). I'd love to see sony pump the Cell processor and install it in a PC with high-end gfx card etc.....now THAT would be a wicked SOB!

Yeah, blu-ray discs just offer more storage capacity. I mean, I SUPPOSE Crytek could just put in some really huge texture files for the game to take up all of the space on the disk but its kind of pointless when the ps3 only has 256mb of video ram....

imo if you're resourceful enough you can build a decent pc for the $300 that it costs to buy a PS3 (5770s are only ~$120 if you shop around nowadays!!!).

Thanks for the heads up Mangosango ! The ps3 was a gift but my next gaming platform is a PC wanted to get an Alien ware PC

^ np if you can, I would build a pc instead of buying one from alienware (you can get A LOT more for you money).

Anyway, rereading my post, it sounds like im trying to hate on console, but I really don't I actually wanna buy a PS3 for The Last Guardian, but I can't justify spending that much just to play games

@Agumnivek In my opinion Alienware svcks, if you can build your own, if you do'nt wanna look for othe companies, like Origin PC, they are awsome!

It is useless that much space in the blu-ray disc if the PS3 can't use huge textures or anything, only if they filled with 200 hours of single-player (that would be awsome) but PC would require like 15 dvds and xbox like 10, and they would never make a game that long.
They could put a few extras like bonus movies of how they made it and ... but also for pc of course.
But probably they will make like all other ps3 games, just leave it empty

You know what don't buy a ps3 if you have a strong pc ,better games will come out and you will enjoy them better than me, don't get me wrong i love my ps3 but i know is weak on some level and also i played dragon age on a ps3 the i played it on a pc and from that day knew the ps3 was weak then i played crysis1 after and my mind was set I WANT A PC AFTER MY PS3 lol

IMO, (if you can afford it) for consoles, i would only buy exclusives such as tekken vs street fighter. Crysis 2 is a no brainer...

Even when they newly come out, they just cannot surpass any high end Pc just because of the development cost and the final market price.
"No one" ( just rhetorical) would buy a console that costs 1300 Eur or 1200 Dollars. But this would be the price if consoles would always use the maximum hardware avialable when they appear.

So better stop all flubdub about console hardware.
Most of the Crysisfans come from the pc.
Any of these threads will cause long conversations with the same result as always. Its just getting to tick me off.

Well the anti aliasing techniques i assume are being used in crysis 2 shown in this link below are temporal anti aliasing & edge anti aliasing which are not the best choice of anti aliasing available & not the best choice suited for PS3's version of crysis 2 which would be the cell processor based anti aliasing known as morphological anti aliasing which can give results 4x better than 16x multi sampling anti aliasing.

I agree wholeheartedly. It is certainly disturbing that the PlayStation 3 version hasnt had a single video on it. For all we know, the PS3 cant even run the game at 5fps right now due to its notorious coding problems it gives to multiplatform developers. :O
