Since Crysis is also coming to the PS3 what will Crytek do with all the power the PS3 has to offer ? Also what will they do with all the space the BLUE RAY CD has which is about 50GB if space? People tell me what you think?

I expect the PS3 Crysis2 to look better and run better than the 360 Crysis2 reason being the have enough power and size to work with on the CD. The PC will look better but it should be followed by the PS3.
Well they are likely going to utilize the power that the several years old hardware in the PS3. The game won't even require half of all the space on the blue ray disc.
Am ok as long as it looks better than the 360 crysis2 and runs faster :). It would be sad if they dint use the power of the PS3 which you said is old hardware lol

Killzone 2 and 3 are trying to use the full power of the PS3 and i mean trying. MGS4 showed people what could be done but an yet to see another game that will push it also uncharted tried. hope Crysis2 does this.

PS3 is obviosuly more powerful than the 360. But Crysis 2 is probably going to be a port from the 360 to the PS3 like all games.

You know what I hope the game is made in such a way that it balances its self out I mean if on pc it works on full power, when placed on the PS3 it runs at the PS3 power and when on xb0x360 it runs on that power level of that console. This way no need to change the game here and there because it doe that on its own :)

To associate the word "power" with over three year old hardware seems a bit odd to me.

Boss work with me here lol. I have to work with what I got lol :). I cant buy a good pc yet and my PS3 yes the 3 year old hardware is all I have :). it would bes sad to port a game to a system that is stronger than the 360 and it looks the same,it will be cutting corner for crytek.

So think about it... the ps3 is all about Cpu ( which is also over 3 years old)... it has a "fart" for a Gpu and almost no ram... what are you expecting? A Physics benchmark with 2000 cubes falling over a cliff... that whats the ps3 is good at. But a game with sharp edges and high res textures...you could rather wait for Crytek to play Jesus and port it over to a 486 DX2.

Bear in mind, cubes are one of the most simple physical shapes to calculate!

i admit the ps3 is stronger than a 360. But its not like its way ahead of the 360. Why dont you look on actual multiplattform tgames... compare them on each system and you have an idea about what Cs2 will look like.

Example mass effect 2 is coming to the PS3 and from what they ahave shown it looks better than the 360 one and runs faster, also FF13 on 360 is slower and looks like crap lol. these are few games that look better on the PS3 than 360 hope crysis2 is the same as these.

Yeah, also a cube is one of the simplest things for physic calculation; much less performance costing than a barrel, as example.

Okay.. the games i would have mentionend are red dead redemption and Gta 4 and Just cause 2. They almost look identic on the consoles.
But i think RDR looked a bit better on the Xbox. The Ps3 has huge problems with a huge draw distances. In Gta4 you can clearly see builidngs and things pop up when youre near them.
But the differences are always not this big.. not as big as console - pc,

My Specs:
Core 2 Quad Q9650 @ 3Ghz
Asus Striker 2 Extreme
4 Gb DDR 3 1600 Corsair
Gtx 280 ( witth an accelerator xtreme cooler on it)

Even blue ray movies fit on a 8,5 Gb Dvd. ( movie alone ).
Some guys in this forum misunderstand that the adv. of a blue ray.
Its just more space. Not better grfx. or better performance.

@ Agumnivec:
I know you have to get along with what you have. I dont blame you for that. Im a student right now and i have to get along with my machine for another 2 years... otherwise i need to get a job soon.
But its interesting.. my fav. gamemagazine once said, that in germany more high end Pcs were bought than consoles. But sadly i live in the only country where Pcs still have the upper hand.

You know what bigboulder you lucky reason being that you guys are playing on a higher level and don't ever come down from there lol. Consoles cost less because once you buy it that's it no need to upgrade while PCs need to be upgraded. i will be getting an Alien ware pc in about 5 months because i have been saving for it or what do you think is a better comp than that? anyway for now my ps3 works for me :).

hmmh if you buy a very strong Pc you dont have to upgrade so soon.
And youre right...you dont have to upgrade consoles..you have to put them in the attic when the next generation appears.

Because Crysis 1 being a Pc exclusive and now C2 being multiplattform
its like worlds that collide when the gamers of each system come together.I think many console gamers think that Pc gamers are just arrogant by saying that consoles are weaker in grfx and stuff.
Even some of them go totally nuts by saying their plattform is stronger than actual high end pcs ( we had such a conversation before ;-) ).
In our world its just like this:
The more money you spent for hardware... the more of a hardcoe gamer you are. ( its very childish but hey.. )
